Went for the best Mexican food of my salty little existence at House of Tamales in Austin, TX. Then drove south for a dip in Jacob's Well, and lastly got ourselves a wicked little campsite for fire pit BBQ chicken and smores. It's a good day.
We’re Shelby and Simon, a creative photo and video duo based out of Ottawa, Canada - but currently living nomadically across North America.

That ending with the firelight on the trees is amazing! Take care xxx
Man... I can't even imagine how long it takes to edit all of this. When not driving on camera you have to be just hovered over the laptop! But! I greatly appreciate it! Show cases what goes on, on a deeper level. Sure, a video of a campfire is easy. A time lapse of it with a voice over transition into food that made my stomach growl this morning.... Well, that's another! Keep em coming!
Sometimes I do have to pry Simon away from the computer, but usually he edits in the morning before I get up for an hour and then we start our day :)
Ashley looks like the van life could suite her. nice video as always. keep up the great work.
as a kid, the family would picnic deep in the local woods beside a chillingly cold creek...we'd put the perishable items in large pickle jars - pickled eggs in one jar and the potato salad in the other; then setup the campfire area; go for a long walk in those mystical woods...our return back to the camp site would be rewarded with hotdogs on sticks over the fire; pickled eggs and potato salad and my mother's deep dish brownies for dessert...wonderful times...
Ahhhhh nostalgia
Yay Cows... lol. Wow I'll definitely have to visit Jacob's Well the next time I'm in Texas ...awesome thanks for sharing.
Awesome vid.
Nice!!!
you all should do a tattoo video. explaining the thoughts and meaning behind them.
Ashley's gone now but Simon and I could talk about ours! (We don't have as many as her lol).
+Shelby and Simon that would be great looking forward to it.
I first discovered u and ur *awesomeness* via a Kirsten Dirksen video. I'm addicted. Enjoying now going back to watch every episode. Can't wait to begin my adventure ALSO on the road as a nomad writer. Thnx for the sweet inspiration! Keep rocking' it, Shelby & Simon.
What a great day! Wish I'd been along for this one.
Happy Camping!
Jacobs well was great the camera really did good under water.. Great video🐻
use reece's peanut butter cups for your smores!
This is the best idea I've ever heard
+Shelby and Simon haha! I'm trying to think of a better idea. None come to mind! General Relativty? Na not really... I use Nutella. I'm a s'more king, too. Nice job, new sub, keep em coming.
You need to head to San Antonio to the river walk. There is also some great caves right outside of town.
That's our next stop! :)
It is very exciting to see how quickly your numbers have grown since the Kirsten Dirksen video. I am very happy for you. You will go far.
+Pidasian Hippie thank you we are too! it's getting closer and closer to allowing us to do more travel, we're very excited
Shelby and Simon That is wonderful!
WOW... what a cool spot! How deep is that swimming hole?? I will say, after binge watching for the last week, I am caught up on your series.... now get busy and upload some more episodes! LOL ;)
Hahahaha Simon is sitting in the A/C editing as we speak!! Thanks for watching :)
Oh, and the opening goes down for 30 feet but it continues down at an angle for 120 more feet. It's considered the most dangerous swimming spot in Texas because you can't tell how deep it is so many people go snorkelling or diving and then they can't get back up in time. We didn't swim down very deep but it was still super cool!
That's awesome... thanks for the info! I went swimming in a very deep natural swimming hole under a waterfall near Cookville TN., It was unforgettable for sure!
Please do an in depth tour of your van. You guys used to have a table but now you have a couch it seems, please explain.
Our table folds down into a couch :) we did have a van tour in the works but we never finished it! We'll get on that
If you guys have a chance, come down to Canyon Lake (south of Austin), Ill put you guys up at one of our parks for a day or so if you want to enjoy some nice areas.

U know the food is good when u got some stuck on that flavor savor bro haha
What do you do when an area doesn't allow dogs? I usually skip no dog places but I feel like I'm missing out on so much.
did I miss the 8 hour exposed photo?
It was really hard to see. it sort of just looks like a metal plate. But yes, we accidentally left out the shot of it! Sorry. Here's a wiki page on it though. You can see what I mean about how hard it is to see:

I thoroughly enjoy your videos...You got some talent! It's like a mini documentary every time.
Thank you :)
