  • I quite enjoy doing tutorials so I thought I'd do a shorter one on how to do a beat really quickly on the Mother 32 and DFAM.
I use this method because I like to get a simple beat as soon as possible so I can focus on building the song from the ground up around sequences and melodies.
Sorry the mother 32 camera angle looks like it was shot on a potato, no idea how that happened!

    Lovely stuff.
Giant tongue in cheek snark of "well it took much more than two to get all the cables and synths dialed in" but that's party of the fun. keep it up!

Only thing I would've done is added some swing or rachets since you were already in step mode. But none the less, fantastic little synths aren't they??? I'm obsessed with the 3 sound studio units for how fun and unique each is.

This is great help. Do you incorporate the keystep pro with the moog studio? I’d love to see how others are connecting it all.

random question but i was wondering if you would be able to make a high hat roll with this method what would you need to add?

@@lo_batt if I understand your question correctly this could be done by patching into the time input, but I’ll have a check next time I fire them up!

Great idea. Can you throw in the patch notes? I see you don’t have the same tempo patch as the Hi Hat vid
