Rahdo, thank you! I watched another 'how to play' before coming here and I had trouble understanding. However, your generous use of thematic description has helped tremendously.
If it wasn't for the obvious similarities with Troyes and Solenia, I would totally believe this was a Lacerda game... It is heavy and there is so many moving parts and much interconnection between all the mechanisms.
Miss the dynamic cam videos - it is difficult (for me) to stay focused with static cam. It is also much harder to see the details on the smartphone, which is where I watch most videos. I understand it is much easier to do this way, though.
yeah, i do apologize, and i haven't made this choice lightly, but yeah, I can't put into words how much better is it for me to film this way. one thing you might consider to make the vids a bit more watchable for you is go to your phone's accessibility settings and enable screen zoom/magnify/whatever (i think all android/iphones have this). on my motorola, i can turn this on, and that means if i triple tap and hold on the screen during a video, it will instantly zoom into that portion of the video, and when i let go, it will zoom back out. so you can basically zoom in on command to more clearly see specific things, and maybe having that level of interaction makes it easier to stay focused on the video as well?
rahdo not being able to actually see the pieces because they're far away from the camera is a big bummer. With the hand camera you'd give us a actual first person view of the game, looking at the board like you would when playing, which set your reviews apart in my opinion. I understand it's easier for you, but the videos lost a lot. A game like this with a lot of small components is much less interesting from far away because you lose all the detail.
@@voivoed i don't disagree. but on the other hand, i'm not miserable while filming! :) one thing i'm looking into is getting a 2nd camera set up off to the side with a chroma key background, that would be an extreme closeup that's super imposed over the entire frame, so i could take a card or dice or whatnot, put it within view of the 2nd camera, and it would fill up the entire screen.

I still don't know if I want this game or not. I don't mind the abstract mechanics but thematically it seems it has major plot holes. Why make a theme if it's not to commit 100% to it ? Just make an abstract game then...

Going to pick this up soon.
This looks fantastic. I’m kicking myself for not grabbing it already. It’s going on the list for my next round of purchases!!

I actually much prefer this style! And it’s great to hear that you’re happier creating the content like this!
been looking forward to this playthrough =)
I really love this backstory. Is this from some preexisting sci-fi literature? If not why not?!
nope, it's an original storyline from the game publisher. i agree though, it is definitely evocative
It's actual History. It's how humans spread across the universe... We are like a virus destroying ecosystems.
PS: Regular dice don't have a 2 point differential on opposing sides.
1 opposes 6
2 opposes 5
3 opposes 4
Love your videos.
oh btw in the first turn u didnt slide a new tech tile into the offer for hals mission is this normal or a mistake

Can you run the AI with a 2 or 3 player game?
i haven't tried it but yes i think it work fine :)
34:52 As I understand it from watching the ManVsMeeple playthrough, you cannot pay debris to flip someone else's die to its opposite side.
That is completely accurate, the thing is that he didn't use debris to do that, he used a Boost from one of his Technology tiles and that is allowed
Where is that MVM playthrough you mention ? Cannot find it anywhere...
