Haha, your hubby agrees with me! 😉✌️😂 Good idea to go with the touring frame if you’re gonna start clocking up longer distances, it makes a world of difference.
I think if you really love the looks and performance ( and I mean really love ). Then it would be worth adjusting for comfort. But if you are always second guessing, then it might be worth getting something you know will do it for you.
I love the ST. Then again, anything is better than my back breaking Sporty. I love the fairing more than the batwing (even though I love the batwing) but I still want air flow and the batwing kills it for me. Rog! You can't say "cyclops" when the batwing is also a single headlight. Unless you're secretly a fan of your bike looking like Bender from Futurama. I agree about the adjustment and making those changed with shifting the pegs forward. I reckon that's what I'd do.
You make many good points, although I will say that the batwing light (to me) is in proportion with the fairing more so than the LRST. Categorically no ‘Bender’ bike (Road Glide) will ever hit my garage floor!!!!!!! 😉😂
I would say put forwards on it also harley do a tall rear shock which is better than the shreet glide stock shocks so if the weight was the reason then Just make it suit you and enjoy well thats what i would recomend but hey You do You tho.
I have ridden the Low Rider ST and few times. The pegs are definitely the main sticking point for me with the bike. Im not a tall guy, but I still felt like my knees were at my chin when riding it. Forward boards or pegs would probably make a big improvement. Ride safe and enjoy.
Spot on, Rick. I think that part of the problem was that Rochelle had decided that the CVO was not for her, and also that a few bikes back she had a Low Rider S which she loved. It wasn’t just the weight of the CVO, it was also the front lower fairing as hers was a 2019 model, before HD ditched them… she didn’t like the lower fairing and felt cramped.
Rochelle, I had no idea you are tall! Can't tell from videos. Sounds like the seat has helped. Hmmm....I guess only you can decide if you should sell it or keep modding it....what would make you the happiest? You two crack me up, lol
Haha, if you see photos of her beside Eric on the weekend you’ll see how tall she is. 😂 I am taller than her, however she has longer limbs… go figure! ✌️😂
I have been where Rochelle is at. I knew I bought the wrong bike a month or two after ownership. My gentle advice is just bite the bullet and go get a SG. All of the mods for a Harley are damn expensive. If Rochelle's heart says this isn't the right bike for me, listen to it. Going any other way is just pouring money down the drain.
Good advice my friend. I think the main problem is that she is 50/50 at the moment, not necessarily leaning one way or the other. I honestly believe that she will lean more toward a touring model again once she does her first big trip on it. ✌️
put some hertiage classic forward control foot boards, it will become a lean mean touring., its perfect with some mods to make it touring, get a good highwaymen seat or a corbin seat.
She is definitely considering mini floor boards in a forward position, and the new seat is plenty comfortable… a highwaymen option would be great though.
Great honest discussion about the Low Rider ST...its so import to have a bike that you enjoy riding. Only live once, so its your call but ride what you enjoy!
Oh my. Research is you best friend but Of course before you purchase. Now if you did that you’d have a Road glide in the garage and wouldn’t look back😂
I have the same bike it’s my first Harley I am only 5,8 put a saddleman seat on with 6 inch bar rises just back from a 3000k 7 day solo ride no discomfort at all, with the mid controls I am able to stand up sometimes and stretch the kegs

It's a hard call. It sounds like your not sold on the upgrades. So is it futile to pursue something that still wont hit the mark? I believe personally that all modifications are a personal journey, if it feels good do it, if you grow out of it, change it and move on. If you dont think you will ever get it to a spot where you will be happy, move on and find something else. Food for thought.

Go back to a street glide, get the ST with the 117ci in the white sand pearl, the ST has one inch higher suspension than a special so you get the extra ground clearance you like on the low rider but you will be more comfortable! The low rider st is a sports cruiser with panniers, the SGST is the sports tourer you want. The LRST is no good for anyone over six foot and even if you put forward controls I think you will still have leg room issues with the heavy breather (the air intake not Chewie!)

Appreciate your thoughtful feedback mate, but Rochelle moved on to a 2022 Street Glide ST.
You can see it in videos after the one you commented on. ✌️
@HarleyThrottleJuice @HarleyThrottleJuice Roger, thank you for replying so quickly. I realised after my messages to you both. It was 10 months ago, and I imagined Rochelle would have changed her bike 5 times over in that time. Lol hahaha 😁🤙😊 I love watching you two on your V-logs. Very entertaining and a good laugh. Have a wonderful week. Cheers, Tone 👍🏽🍻🇦🇺🤙😊 P.S I'll look at the latest vids
Very much appreciated mate. ✌️
