  • Many see reading the Great Books as a productive pastime. But, is there value in a formal study of the Great Books for personal growth? In this episode, Martin Cothran and Dan Sheffler delve into the rhyme and reason of intentionally improving one's knowledge of the wisdom found in the Great Books of the Western world.     I’m on track to be done with the ten year reading program of the Great Books in Q1 2024. Trying to decide if I should wait till then to enroll in the Great Books Masters Program.

      I've read the entire core set of the Great Books of the Western World and all the Harvard Classics. It took me almost 30 years

      Perhaps he has a problem with his vocal chords... perhaps like Robert Kennedy? It may just be his voice.

    interesting. But not interested by the religious christian angle. Those books are mostly not religious. And beard guy is handsome😊

    I’m sure that these are intelligent men. And I agree that reading the classics is a worthwhile and enriching project. But their arguments here were contradictory, uninformed, and come across as largely patting themselves on the back for being so sophisticated.
