- A look at what's different between the different versions on TSW5 you can get.
this is the first in a series of beginners guide videos.
Hardware, I play on;
Intel 12900k, 64gb ram
MSI motherboard
GPU is a NVidia 4080 super.
This is a great common sense review. Thank you. Hoping to catch this on sale soon.
id say, get the free starter pack and individual routes on sale, except for:
- southeastern hs1, schnellfahrstrecke kassel - würzburg (that german route) or cajon pass, get tsw3 standard edition and you'll get all three routes for the price of one and yiu can use them in tsw5 too (even if you only want one, it's better to get all three if you ever want it in the future or of you are ever bored and want to play something different)
- east coast main line, antelope valley line, or s-bahn, exact same thing as above but tsw4 standard edition
- bakerloo line, get tsw2 standard edition, the steam website doesnt list what comes with tsw2, but tsw2 standard is actually cheapee than the bakerloo line dlc by about £10
Have you considered doing a video on Train Sim World 5 versus Train Simulator Classic 2024?
I can only afford to commit to one "franchise", and I'm torn which one to go for (the sheer amount of content available for TSC looks very tempting tbh).
@@katebuckley7263 if I get time later this week I will do this.
Excellent idea
I think I’m gonna get the special edition but on sale. I was originally thinking of getting the deluxe, but since the price of NY-Trenton OR London Underground would bring you to the price of the special edition, I’m thinking of just going for the special edition since I think I’ll buy at least one of those (and maybe the London overground too).
And even if there’s a 50% sale, the NY-Trenton and London Underground together would still add up to the price of special edition.
So with special, I’m able to get all those but I’ll wait for a sale.
Curious what you think of that plan. Also, when would you expect the first sale to be? I’m thinking it might be around new years so I’m prepared to wait. How much are the sales usually?
Your plan sounds good to me, as a starting package you get a lot for your money.
sale wise they happen fairly often especially around any holiday season or new content release.
the sales for packages varies sometimes its 10% other times its more however individual routes can get anywhere from 10% - 80% off so sales can be huge, pretty much all the content I own was bought on massive sales.
If your happy to wait for a sale my advice would be buy the Deluxe package then handpick the extra routes you want by getting the ones on the best sales. Personal taste plays a part, I love the UK and German routes so i buy more of those.
@@Mothman2600 That’s a good idea. I didn’t know the individual routes could get to 80% off sometimes. I might just get the deluxe then buy London Underground, overground, and maybe New York - Trenton. On 80% off that’s $20 so it’s cheaper than the special edition (not sure if I’d want those other lines in special).
I’m just concerned maybe they won’t put those routes on big sale for a while since they’re some of the more popular ones and they’re in special edition so they’d probably want to make special look better.
But I’ll wait till a sale and if they have deluxe and routes on sale I can know for sure if my plan will work (if those other routes I mentioned are at ~80%).
@@Mothman2600 I doubt it but do you know if I were to buy deluxe would special be available with the discount of deluxe since I already bought deluxe? I doubt this would be the case but could be useful if the routes aren’t on good sale so upgrading to special would be more worth it.
@@mefor3 there are also regional packages that may be better, the discounts can be anything from 10% - 80% I always buy what make more sense, but in keeping with what I enjoy
