Anyone with experiences with manipulative or narcissistic partners or parents can physically feel how spot-on the character of Marco is. Every Marco scene had me crossing my arms with my brow furrowed, softly saying “ew, ew, no, ew, no”.
When I watched this season for the first time, I recognized the type of person Marco is. I used to do domestic violence restraining orders, and I saw a lot of abusive partners who would manipulate their children against the other. It felt so familiar and so heartbreaking.
34:00 Phillip is referring to the fact that she would have been on the Rocinante when it's reactor exploded from the Augustin Gamarra code if he hadn't kidnapped her. That comment to Naomi, plus Karal mentioning the Augustin Gamarra code is what tipped Naomi off to their plan to use that code to destroy the Roci. 55:38 "Dumping the core" is not ejecting the core. It's just dumping the plasma that is currently in the reaction chamber. The reactor can be restarted .
When this episode was released, Ty Franck said something about there being three specific clues that Naomi picks up on that tip her off. He wasn't specific about the details, but I believe he was referring to the two things you mentioned, as well as the fact that when she goes onto the bridge of the Pella to stab Marco, she sees that one of the displays there is showing a camera feed of the Roci docked at Tycho Station, implying that someone loyal to Marco is there on Tycho with access to the security systems. (It's not in Angela's edited video but if you watch the actual episode it's at about 32:57.)
The focus on individual character arcs this season is such a high point for me. Everyone is spread out and struggling with their own problems. Not exactly alone, but far apart from their family members.
Something that might help with understanding Clarissa Mao is that she never had a real life. She was raised to further her fathers' goals and didn't see him as the bad guy (and we don't know how much of the dark stuff he was doing she knew about or not). Julie was treated differently and not manipulated into a tool that let her see who her father really was. Clarissa played the role of the mechanic in order to further her plan but we see that she really enjoyed being detached from who she was. When she finally saw that Holden wasn't the bad guy and realized her father was it kind of broke her, Amos I think felt what was going on and stripped her of her past by using the new name of peaches and treating her as just another person. I think Amos intuitively sees that she was used and went down a dark path that he could easily go down himself.
Basically, it just expelled the active fusion chamber contents out the back and letting the reaction runaway, to detonate the missile - but it's like completely emptying your engine of fuel in the process and clearing out the fuel lines. It'll take a moment to fire everything back up, during which they're completely adrift and sitting ducks. People got confused about this on the premiere of this episode because most of us compared it to "ejecting the warp core" in Star Trek which was like jettisoning the entire engine assembly.
@@putinscat1208 pretty much - looks like the ball of reaction mass is dumped out the back of the ship - guessing it would quickly start expanding / dissipating - but not before the Belter torpedo hits it & detonates - a last ditch “this might kill us but it’s our only chance” kind of move.
A fusion reactor or fusion drive is basically an artificial sun, kept in check with a magnetic "bottle". If the bottle fails, you basically have a mini-sun explode inside your ship. To prevent that, the reactors and drives have an ability to shoot the "sun" out the drive ejection port, with the magnetic "bottle" holding it for a few moments (hopefully enough time for the ship to get clear). Since the missiles are often chasing the drive's heat signature, there's generally a good chance that a missile will go for the core rather than the ship that dumped it, especially if you dump at the last moment. But dumping the core means you have to totally re-start your reactor, creating a whole new core/"sun" from scratch. That takes time and fuel, and you're a total sitting duck while you do that.
Amos also was tender and affectionate with Lydia’s partner in Baltimore. Once he broke down Amos similarly put a hand on his shoulder and gave him some physical reinforcement. He’s been learning this over time throughout the show and you can actually see him trying it out in season 3 when he grabs Anna by the arm. He grabs her a bit stiffly, a bit too hard. He’s learning. It really is a beautiful, subtle arc.
She definitely was. That's why she initially panicked when Holden said he was going to take the Roci out, she knew it would explode and probably take out Tycho as well. She's a fanatic though, "See you when you get back."
Not "probably"; there's a moment early in the season where she's accessing the Roci's computer, and being so over-the-top sweet to Holden. She was distracting him while she inserted the code.
"Conan, what is best in life?" "To see Angela's reaction every time an episode ends." Loved your energy. You do know that's contagious, right? BTW, now that you've seen Sakai, maybe take a look at "Ty & That Guy" Ep 061, where they have Bahia Watson on as a guest. I don't remember it containing spoilers (not 100% sure, though), but getting to experience the actress IRL is sooo charming.
Am I the only one who wishes Xander ( it is Xander right?) would put together a compilation of Funnylilgal/Amos reactions to send to Ty Frank so he could pass it along to Wes Chatham??? That would be 'the bomb.' I would love to see that big toothy smile on Wes' face watching a comp of your 'thirsty' Amos Burton reactions. -Surely I am not alone in this?? ..............................to God's ear.
One thing that Naomi says about him in the book is that he's very good at acting like everything that happens is all part of his plan, even when it's something totally unexpected. Only someone who knows him very well can tell when something has actually surprised him.
This one is one of my favorite episodes of the season. Fun fact? The actor who played Tiny (Konecheck) is from my hometown. We went to separate high schools together. He is actually a very funny guy. The belly to back suplex Amos did to Tiny is something Wes Chatham can actually do, as he is a martial artist and did his own stunts.
The 3 rocks that Marco threw at Earth killed more people on Earth than the entire population of the belt. But like Marco said to Ashford, and like how Bobbie discovered when she went to Earth, it's hard for them to even fathom the numbers of people, the vastness of open spaces on a planet.
Monica came in clutch when she kept Anna talking while under fire. She's been doing her job as an investigative reporter, and she's actually kept to her ethics in that respect. Amos did place a gentle hand on Charles' shoulder. Being back in Boston brought him closer to Lydia's gentleness toward him. Naomi's hair was a psychological quirk of hers in the novels, but thankfully they made her hair a more benign facet of her character in the series. Another fan has characterized Cyn as an "abused housewife" to a narcissistic husband. The more I watch, the more that characterization seems apt. The Firehawk is without thrusters until they get their reactor fired up again. The thrusters are water steam jets (they've characterized moving on thrusters as "teakettling" at least once). But they need the reactor to heat the water. Dominique and Cara were robbed of their Emmy nominations for this season.
The way this show depicts the effects of trauma is so well done. Unfortunately that also makes it really emotional or even difficult to watch if you have trauma yourself
30:15 - probably my favorite little detail. We've established that the handguns are bio coded so there's no way Amos or Konecheck can fire the guns. Amos still picks up the gun though to check the ammo count. The gun is empty. The guard stopped being useful and Konecheck started improving his odds.
The reactor cores on the ships are fusion reactors so inside is superheated plasma burning hotter than the sun contained by electromagnets, Alex opened a window and turned off the magnets dumping the reaction mass out of the ship. Loved the little muted scream at the end. I had one myself when I had to wait a week to see the next episode.
Re the Amos grabbing a pain killer moment - pretty sure you're thinking of the start of S1E5 - just after they got the roci and got off the Donnegar. End of E4, Amos was shot in the leg while they were running across the walkway to the Roci, Alex helped him in. Start of E5, he had shin bone showing, Naomi straightened it and put a brace on, Alex had Antibitotics and painkillers, wasn't sure which to give first, so Amos snatched the pain killers off him :)
I don't think it was your intention, but you had me in STITCHES at the end if this episode! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Such a dramatic moment, with the total silence of the Razerback blazing into space without a way to stop - and you being pissed & frustrated with that being the final scene of the episide....DYING, i tell ya!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Amos has a soft spot for children and broken/vulnerable people. You saw it with Mae and you saw it with Chike (the belter kid on Ilus). You see it also with Charles where his whole demeanour changed when he realised that Charles really did love Lydia and was cut up about losing her. As he said to Alex "The way I see it, there are only three kinds of people in this world. Bad ones, ones you follow, and ones you need to protect"
Sakai said wait because she knew if the roci's core exploded it would take out half of Tycho Station with it and since she was stuck there now it would probably kill her. "See you when you get back" was her deciding to die for her 'cause'.
The core is created by dropping a fuel-pellet into the reactor chamber and igniting fusion. As long as the ship has more fuel-pellets the core can be re-ignited.
For something fun, look at the scene where Amos checks the body of the guard who fell down the shaft. He checks the guard's gun, and scene shows what Amos saw when he did. It's really quick, but it's worth a second look because you get some insight into what's going on in Amos' mind, right then.
Great reaction Angela! Might I say your background wall is looking amazing! Love the Rocinante blueprint! I also see Ahsoka back there!? My all time favorite Star Wars character! What an amazing episode and reaction young lady! So many great moments! There moments that are so impactful but don't mean alot unless there was so much ground work built leading up to these moments! You do an amazing job being invested and seeing the gravity of these moments! I would love to see a compilation of all your reactions to the cliffhanger endings of The Expanse! Looking forward to the next one!
Love you are getting to know Ty a bit. He seems like a good guy. And he definitely sticks up for reactors. He's told Laura Reacts (French reactor) when she was reacting to it, that she could contact him about strikes on youtube for Expanse reactions and he'd see what he could do. Yeah Marco is a gaslighter. I think part of Sakai's worry might have been because if the Roci exploded docked at Tyco, the whole station could go with it, with her as well. I feel she was almost tempted to tell them, but then changed her mind and put on the tough face again with her goodbye.
I binged all of your Expanse videos (and others) to cstch up live. Love your thirstiness to Amos. Its part of being a fan. I loved this sotry line with him and his book, The Churn, is a great way to see why he is the way he is. Can't wait for you to see the rest of them!
5:45 Fred actually does get shot by a traitor at this point in the book, but he survives. so those of us who had read the books weren't so shocked when she shot him, but the tears started flowing when we saw he was actually dead.
For reasons to be currently unsaid, I'm not sure that's not how it was originally planned and filmed. His deathroom scene might have been shot later...for reasons.
I also love how much this show makes it IMPOSSIBLE to predict where it’s going…. & when it takes the left turn / it seems totally logical in hind sight. Marco is an excellent villain- a masterful narcissistic manipulator with just a terrifying little dash of bat crap crazy thrown in…. The actor who plays Cyn, - Brent Sexton, is also excellent in season 2 of another of my favorite shows “BOSCH” - the Amazon Prime show starring Titus Welliver that (sadly) No One is Reacting too! 🤨 You should!❤ It’s an Amazing ensemble cast, based on a series of books - the Author is very involved in writing the screen adaptations…. Sounds familiar eh? - would make a great next show! 🙂
Holy forking shirtballs! The completely intentional misdirect of the "I saved your life" scene is to get the audience to infer Filip saw the assassination attempt and is referring to that. But you immediately sussed out that he was referring to something else. Nice. I guess the show won't be able to surprise you again! ... Hahaha! I'm kidding. You'll still drop your jaw at stuff. But, hey, for a _second_ there...
Watching people freak out over the episode endings _never_ gets old. Never, ever, ever. You've prolly been told already but core dumps is like throwing the fire outside without losing the fireplace. So, the reactor is okay (especially on a racing ship with top o' the line safety features). It's the blast damage which was concerning.
When Fillip says, "You should be glad I took you. I saved your life." I think he was referring to the Augusta Gormara code on the Rocinante. I always found that scene confusing.
In the Expanse universe, dumping core doesn't mean destroying your reactor but rather jettisoning any actively fusioning material. It's like a thermonuclear fart, basically.
Amos salving Clarissa just because she needed someone to take care of her (and not earning it from the start) says a lot about him. This guy is easily a top 5 characters i´ve ever seen, read or listened about. Also: imagine the pain Naomi is going through not knowing if her message was received or not by Holden PS: "The Last of Us" is being reviewed in "Ty and That Guy" podcast and it is amazing...
Yep - great episode. Marco is such a brilliantly written (and acted) villain. He is just so manipulative and does it so well... Im pretty sure i've encountered people with similar personality traits... What I also love is that for the rest of his time on the show, the character develops in such a realistic way, and his effect on others is likewise so believable. Marco - the guy you love to hate.
Very lucky that he was in the Pit when the rock hit. It’s amazing the amount of damage down there and he was 10 stories deep in a bunker within a bunker!
It's always a great day when you upload another Expanse ep. Always the highlight of my week and more so when there are two! Also, Ty is definitely telling Wes
Love the Amos and Peaches story line, such a good story for two misunderstood people. I can't wait for more of these episodes, I've already seen this show including reactions probably 8-9 times by now and I can't get over how amazing it is!
Man, I really enjoy your reaction and your pre and post episode commentary. So good to see someone who also enjoys so much The Expanse. And I have to say that your hair looks glorious today, hope you did it to go out and have loads of fun. Cheers!
Great ep! Konecheck’s broad accent and line delivery was unexpectedly hilarious. But poor Naomi - and poor Filip. Marco is so far removed from “normal” that he’s more character than human. Great character and great villain, but not one you can empathize with (not _sympathize_ because of course you can’t, but simply relate to as an audience member). But Naomi and Filip… ouch. Naomi knows what she must try, however desperate, but Filip is just a thoroughly confused bundle of trauma. And a teenager. The show has done a great job of respecting audience intelligence, and not over-explaining everything, but in the case of the Augustin Gamorra code it would’ve been nice to have that reinforced a little more (Naomi’s been alluding to it across seasons, but only a little), and the core dump could’ve done with slightly more explanation. My own impression was that the Screaming Razor-hawk-back would be adrift forever now, having fully jettisoned its entire reactor, but that’s not it. More like rolling coal for fusion engines. Still not sure how exactly that works, tbh.
Marco isn't out of the norm, he is VERY normal in our society. There are lots of people who are clinically narcissistic like Marco is in power today, and a lot of little Marcos traumatizing the people in their lives every day.
@@dapeach06 true, he’s sadly not out the ordinary in that sense. I didn’t mean to suggest such people don’t exist. I only meant that as a character in a show, you can’t empathize with him like you can other characters, even the antagonists. When, say, Melba was an antagonist, you didn’t like her, but at least understood she was angry and damaged and had a hint of an inner life there. But with Marco there’s nothing to latch on to, since he’s so extremely narcissistic. I don’t know how his mind works, hence more character than human. Not a criticism; makes for a terrifying villain
It was a total shock to me about Fred, I didn't believe what I'd seen until this episode because I "knew" what happened to him. Great stuff though, great season, great book.
That elevator suplex was legendary. If you're also a fan of cheap wines that get the job done, I know Rose is usually your thing but should give Pink Moscato a try.
Angela : "It didn't bend the bars. I feel like the robot would bend the bars when it stepped on it" Why would you think that? They're in space, remember? At a station like that using spin gravity, they are most likely ......at most......on one third of Earth's gravity (0.3g). And that's assuming they're at a part of the station that's spinning the most. The fact that you could see workers earlier having their mag boots on, should tell you it's possible they were even almost weightless. If anything the robot (which need I remind you would only be exerting a force of weight that at most would be one third of what it would actually weigh on Earth or an 1g environment or planet) therefore would more likely have magnetic attachers to it's feet to allow it to "walk" and navigate (instead of floating away with every step pushing against the station), rather than bending any bars.
I am just so glad that you are warming to Clarissa a tiny bit. This show spends extraordinary resources into the fostering the idea that forgiveness can be stronger than revenge. While I have blood lust for the bad guy, this show's secret weapon and great insight is that understanding and connection is far more powerful. I am taking pains not to spoil.
Just a shout out to the podcast. The actor who plays Konechek is a blast! Yeah- watched the whole reaction, while lying face down post another retinal detachment… You go on thinking about Amos. And Marco. At the same time????? (I’m picturing Greco Roman wrestling. Lots of oil)
Peaches is like a sister to Amos, many people ship them which is icky. He is affectionate because he wants to protect her. She is also one of my favorite characters, I look forward to you watching her story.
This was a great reaction! Love the part where Alex dumps the core. I love how invested you are in the shows. Ps. Whenever you need a new show to react to, check out His Dark Materials. Great show.
Not sure if it's been mentioned before, but, Ty and Wes have a YT channel called Ty and That Guy, They go over Expanse episodes. But they're also big fans of film and review/discuss a lot of unrelated flicks.
It has, and no. She should stay away until the series is over. LFG is vocally anti-spoiler and spoilers on TATG range from subtle to clear to massive. Nope. Under no circumstance should she watch it now. Ixnay on the atchway.
The best villains are the ones who think they are the hero, that the cause they have is right and just. In the books, it is even better, and his character is even smarter tactically as you get more insight into why he is doing what he is doing.
Ships in The Expanse travel in two basic ways: Basic Thrusters (Flying Teakettle) like shuttles use to travel down a well or moving around planets and stations. And the Epstein Drive how they travel far distances. Alex jettisoned the core, The 'Hawk' can still travel and maneuver, but it'll take a really long time for them to get anywhere. Bull is much more understandable and even somewhat likable in the books. The "Peaches" reference is a joke from Amos based on the dessert 'Peaches Melba'. Timmy got to start his life over by becoming Amos, so Amos is helping Clarissa to start over by giving her a new name. I recently re-watched A League of Their Own. I was presently surprised to see David Strathairn.
There's one bit in this episode that drives me nuts every time I see it. I love the show but the more I love a show the more critical I get when things get silly. I didn't love the part where Holden apparently doesn't even consider sabotage on his own. Just a few episodes ago he spoke to the woman they have in prison, about the repairs she was *in charge of,* while she was performing those repairs, inside of the Roci. Did he just forget about it? That is all.
Guy has a LOT of things on his mind and was getting blasted from every direction at once. Physical sabotage he would've thought to clock but checking the code would've been a Naomi idea.
He did. This was the first time we ever saw Holden taking the Roci through its military-grade full self-check procedure. But not even Martian tech could have discerned Naomi coding without direction.
@@kirkdarling4120 That may be true in the books but we don’t even get a line of dialogue about it on the show. It makes him look bad. And the argument I see some people making about him “having a lot on his mind” is really silly because 90% of what he is worried about is directly tied to the attack this woman just orchestrated. He should be doing research to figure out who was involved and what lead up to the attack. I can’t imagine he would just forget what she was doing on the station before Fred got shot.
Marco is such a entertaining character because he makes my skin crawl. His narcissism, magalomania, and intelligence is this great trifecta that makes him a compelling antagonist (and yes, I unfortunately recognize a lot of his mannerisms in the exes of friends ..and someone's parent in one case😬)
The thing with Marco is that when he talks about freedom for the belt, and their rights being respected, etc. is that he believes in none of it. He says it because it will get him power, and the power is his real goal. He doesn't want freedom for the belt, he wants to rule the belt.
Marco is a master manipulator, you can see his strategy in grooming Filip: when Filip deviates and try to be independent he tears him down calls him names and says he's disappointed or humiliates him in front of everyone, then builds him up again to a new image that suits his needs. It's horrifying, creepy and obvious from the outside.
Cudos to you for being so observant to the red flags of a manipulator, its a good skill to have. Even if it might have come from hard lessons. Marco is a good villain, much because of the manipulation he do.
Marco is super gross but he has such charisma. He starts to talk and I find myself starting to agree before I catch myself and think "wait a minute, fuck you Marco." The acting is perfect for that role. Honestly everyone is great in this show.
Yeah, I'm sure the belters are terrified. It's like a futuristic Pearl Harbor.... "I fear we've awakened a sleeping giant" I know however the circumstances aren't remotely the same. Marco character is a perfect primal alpha male tribal mentality. The actor plays it well. Drummer is my Favorite character and I hope you react to seeing her in an interview if you haven't seen her talk yet. Lol at being embarrassed about your comments about Amos.... I also hear they want to revive Stargate (Expanse show runners)!
Hee hee. That was a great end of episode reaction. Great that Ty is following you now! COngrats! You could probably stat watching their Ty and That Guy channel now... At least I think it's safe to start watching. I didn't trust Bull but after Sakai, I trust he's on board to at least get revenge for Fred. Marco certainly is a class 1 manipulator and he has fabulous hair! I think you need to realize that Belters form families and each member looks after the other. So Naomi is right to confront Syn about Filip's raising.
The way I saw the cell interrogation scene was that Bull was easy to hate and keep her “tough girl” act with, but Holden had treated her kindly and with respect. Because of that, her persona slipped a bit when Holden announced they were taking the Roci out. She was the one who sabotaged the ship.
Yeah. Naomi is definitely the most sneaky scary person on the Roci. I mean Amos is Amos and pretty much anyone quickly figures out not to mess with him. Bobbie has a pretty aggressive stance too and a dense build. She's not someone you immediately think: "I can take her. It'll be fine." Holden is more of a leader but he can handle himself. But Naomi... sheesh... there's this graceful person that emanates eternal sunshine, but cross her or hers she'll fucking drop an elevator on your head and you won't even see it coming.
Hate to tell you but she’s still the Razorback. When Alex was first approaching Mars, her transponder still had her listed as The Razorback. The change was for the exact same reason as the Roci was temporarily changed to Pinus Contorta. It’s a well known ship and if they get picked up on the Barkeith’s scopes, a casual glance at the transponder code will just show them as a yacht just tooling around. Of course, if they take a closer look at drive signatures and whatnot then all bets are off.
Cool Rocinante blueprint! The Expanse has earned a place on your SciFi wall of honor! Ok, if you are a rosé fan, I would recommend Chevalier De Lafoux Sainte Anne Rose Cotes De Provence. Sounds fancy but it’s not too expensive, about $14 per bottle. Anyhow, I’ve tried a bunch and haven’t found one I like better than that. If memory serves, I believe Wes Chatham once commented that Boomer Phillips (the actor that played Konechek) was hilarious. I’m glad you’re seeing how horrible Marco is. Yeah he’s handsome and he’s charismatic, but those are merely weapons that he uses to get what he wants for himself, no matter who he hurts. He is not compassionate towards belters, his friends, or his own son. To him, those are merely tools to be used and discarded once he achieves his goal of obtaining power and praise. It’s textbook narcissism.
He is hilarious, "So, what's new?" tone change was perfect. He's a Canadian fire fighter and comedian, if you ever want to listen to ep63 of the Ty and That Guy podcast, it's about this episode 5x5 and Boomer called in.
Wow!!! The Earthers and the Martians have had their foot to the back of the neck of the Belters for an generations. Please go back to the beginning of the very 1st episode and reread the prologue. A person like Marco Inaros was inevitable. Not justifying his actions but you can see how it happened.
"...Clarissa, I'm proud of you! How about that, I really am." I am laughing sooooo hard.
Ugh
@@funnylilgalreacts we giggle, we giggle every time

After all the worries, it turns out Konecheck was the one who got shafted.

It's very Australian too, so I just took it in stride.

Is the word “active” fusion? This is why it could use its drive again later ?
@@rodentnolastname6612 They use laser fusion it just requires a startup sequence not heating up like a tokomak.

But dumping the core means you have to totally re-start your reactor, creating a whole new core/"sun" from scratch. That takes time and fuel, and you're a total sitting duck while you do that.
Hugs girl, hugs. There are more episodes and more tears. The next few episodes following Amos and Peaches are gold.
Lots of tears... you know what I'm talking about. And yes, Amos and Peaches were my favorite arc this season.
Amos also was tender and affectionate with Lydia’s partner in Baltimore. Once he broke down Amos similarly put a hand on his shoulder and gave him some physical reinforcement. One more reason to dislike Sakai, she was probably the one that slipped in the Augustin Gamarra code to blow up the reactor on the Rocinante.
Yup. I hate her now.
She definitely was. That's why she initially panicked when Holden said he was going to take the Roci out, she knew it would explode and probably take out Tycho as well.
She's a fanatic though, "See you when you get back."
Although there was a moment that seemed like she wanted to warn Holden...
@@artboymoy Yeah, to save herself since the explosion would take out the entire station
Not "probably"; there's a moment early in the season where she's accessing the Roci's computer, and being so over-the-top sweet to Holden. She was distracting him while she inserted the code.
"Conan, what is best in life?"
"To see Angela's reaction every time an episode ends."
Loved your energy.
Yeah!! Twilight Sparkle!!!

yep, this one deserved a "mother of god"
Yes...she is! And she does voice overs in cartoons too...she a lively person.(Bahia Watson)
Oh... he showed it to Wes. He definitely showed it to Wes.
The thing that strangely devastated me from this episode is the fact that he lost his Timothy cup.
Yep, I noted that as well.
He also lost that bottle of liquor that he had to give up to get inside.
Yeah! He told the guy to be careful with it and everything! D: Such a bummer!
@@Prodigalzson Oh no! He lost more than I thought.
And his little devil pin.
50:36 Marco tried to kill everyone aboard the Roci, mind you. After all, he didn't plan on having Naomi aboard his ship at this point in time.
Now I'm kinda hoping Ty mentions you to Wes on the podcast 😂
I'm pretty sure I would die
@funnylilgalreacts you need to listen to the ty and that guy podcast, it's really good
The 3 rocks that Marco threw at Earth killed more people on Earth than the entire population of the belt.
Your reaction is priceless....😃🤣🤣
@funnylilgalreacts we were ALL there!!
Ty Frank😳😃👍👍👍⚘
Well dang you got 41,000 viewers. All good!!!
Xander, when she's finished, please put together a supercut of all of her episode ending reactions. They are priceless.
The thrusters can work on backup power so long as they have reaction mass. The core can be refueled.
For something fun, look at the scene where Amos checks the body of the guard who fell down the shaft.
He checks the guard's gun, and scene shows what Amos saw when he did.
It's really quick, but it's worth a second look because you get some insight into what's going on in Amos' mind, right then.
Don't know his work in anything else but the guy playing Marco can act up a storm. Marco is smooth as liquid and twice as slippery.
LOL, I love watching your reactions... You're going to love to hate those cliffhangers.. lol
I love seeing the editors commentary about the commentary, lol
When Fillip says, "You should be glad I took you. I saved your life." I think he was referring to the Augusta Gormara code on the Rocinante. I always found that scene confusing.
Your hair is on point this video. GG.
Also: imagine the pain Naomi is going through not knowing if her message was received or not by Holden
PS: "The Last of Us" is being reviewed in "Ty and That Guy" podcast and it is amazing...
Love the face when episode ended.
I wonder if Chef Casey is a reference to Steven ("I also cook") Seagal's character in Under Siege. Or if it's just coincidence.
Ty Frank has confirmed that yes, it was a not to "Chef Casey" in Under Siege.
Cheers!
Okay, here we go.... ready for some southern style cobbler? LOL
Imagine how WE felt at the end of that episode, having to wait another week.
That muted scream of frustration... never stop being you.
Hey, Marco did throw an asteroid at Amos....
YOURE RIGHT. EFF MARCO.
That elevator suplex was legendary. If you're also a fan of cheap wines that get the job done, I know Rose is usually your thing but should give Pink Moscato a try.
[Hushed] "If this episode ends" > [Next Up] box instantly appears = 👩🏼🍳😙👌🏼
Angela : "It didn't bend the bars. I feel like the robot would bend the bars when it stepped on it"
Why would you think that?
Yeah- watched the whole reaction, while lying face down post another retinal detachment…
You go on thinking about Amos. And Marco. At the same time????? (I’m picturing Greco Roman wrestling. Lots of oil)
Peaches is like a sister to Amos, many people ship them which is icky. He is affectionate because he wants to protect her.
She is also one of my favorite characters, I look forward to you watching her story.
I'm not even watching this show.... but I had to give my badass girl a like.... you are so awesome
@@AngeloBarovierSD Agreed!
Ah.... Peaches 😁
Peaches! 😁
Watching this 6 months later and "Mod Hoses" is cracking me up.
This show has been a cascade of good villains
There's one bit in this episode that drives me nuts every time I see it. I love the show but the more I love a show the more critical I get when things get silly.
I didn't love the part where Holden apparently doesn't even consider sabotage on his own. Just a few episodes ago he spoke to the woman they have in prison, about the repairs she was *in charge of,* while she was performing those repairs, inside of the Roci. Did he just forget about it?
That is all.
To be fair, I didn’t think about it either. Obviously that’s what she was doing while she was on the Roci but I totally forgot about it.
@@kirkdarling4120 good point
@@kirkdarling4120 That may be true in the books but we don’t even get a line of dialogue about it on the show. It makes him look bad. And the argument I see some people making about him “having a lot on his mind” is really silly because 90% of what he is worried about is directly tied to the attack this woman just orchestrated. He should be doing research to figure out who was involved and what lead up to the attack. I can’t imagine he would just forget what she was doing on the station before Fred got shot.
When I see that guard, I think of how she was a main character in The Strain. There's a show you should watch if you haven't.
"Reactor reacts to reactors not reacting"
"Peaches is out of the can"
These are gold.
dominique tipper is a LEGEND.
I remember you in the first episode, not being sure if the show was for you. Look at you now!!! hahahaha
Watching this episode again after seeing Letterkenny is a trip. I kept waiting for Konecheck to go off about leg day and loving his wife.
I sympathise with your end-of-episode scream.
The way I saw the cell interrogation scene was that Bull was easy to hate and keep her “tough girl” act with, but Holden had treated her kindly and with respect. Because of that, her persona slipped a bit when Holden announced they were taking the Roci out. She was the one who sabotaged the ship.
"I also get cranky when I don't eat..." Remind me to not get between you and food 🤣🔪😨
And honestly - same 🤣🤣
Im a monster when I’m hungry 😂
Amos is trying to do what Lydia and to some extent Naomi did for him. He trying in to be good like Holden.
--"it'll get the job done..." --
I love that you get thirstier the more rosé you drink
I keep hearing "Margo" like Margot Robbie, or Margo from For All Mankind...
Which you should totally watch after Babylon 5 :D
If they killed Shed, they might kill Holden. They blew up the Canterbury, and the Knight, so they might blow up the Rocinante.
