Happy you like Opeth, welcome to the club :) A band that's criminally underrated is the italian band Novembre. I highly recommend you check out their song Jules. Beautiful vocals and excellent musicianship, you'll enjoy it for sure!
I don't think there's any way that someone that barely listens to metal will enjoy any of those 3 songs to be honest (lots of growling), a lot of fans of the band will throw you out to the deep end/extremes of the band rather than let you ease into it. Burden was a very solid choice, and honestly anything after their Watershed album should be an easy listen for a non metal listener!@@RealLifeCoupleReact
@@Lamren Damnation is a good start too :) Or growlingless songs from earlier albums, such as Face of Melinda, Benighted, Credence, To Bid You Farewell...
Hi there @RealLifeCoupleReact, first time for me on your channel. I love Opeth as I've seen these Progressive Metal Masters from home sweet home Sweden live several times. They ALWAYS deliver just as perfect live as well. Great Reaction! Even if this is one of their softer songs, I still think the wife would appreciate Mikael Åkerfeldt growling voice on some of the songs where he mixes growl with plain singing. One great example is "Ghost of Perdition" live at Red Rock in the US which is a MASTERPIECE performed live: ua-cam.com/video/BAlDEcQMLio/v-deo.html I just love the disharmonic ending of the song - LOL. And of course - New Subscriber here!
Mikael, thank you so so much for your kind words and comment. We will do that for you at some point. His voice is awesome. Thank you for supporting our channel and we love SWEDEN 🙂
Great reaction :) ... But this is one of their shortest songs. If this was too long, then this is not bidding well :P Ill just ignore that. * If you would like to listen to a song with a similar composition, I would recommend Harvest. * Ghost of Perdition (live at Redrocks Amphiteater) is often a good entrance since the song got a wide register of what Opeth can be. Along with "Reverie/Harlequin Forest" (live at Royal Albert Hall). * Songs I think might suite you better though are songs like Hessian Peel, A Fair Judgement, In My Time Of Need (or any song from the album Damnation), Deliverance, Face of Melinda, Porcelain Heart. Or something from their newer stuff.
Opeth will never not be one of the top 5 bands in Scandinavia. Even 2000 years after their deaths. And that's about the highest praise as I can give as a Norwegian >_>
I think I was meaning the ending segment! I'm all for the prog!!! 🙂Gonna do Cassandra Gemini soon, I don't know how she will handle it haha! Thanks for the comment

You pick :)

Moonlapse vertigo from opeths still life album or the devils orchard from their heritage album, both amazing.
Thank you so much Mark! We have so much to check out, we are gonna be going for years haha 🙂
Next after this should either be "Lotus Eater" or "Blackwater Park" by them!
They are on the list, thank you ever so much 🙂

I love this album 🖤
Gotta love new sounds
I think that this is one of the best metal songs that doesn’t feature growls or screaming

You stopped the song before it ended? :(
It won't happen again! Thanks for commenting and letting us know though 🙂
I noticed that... I think that was unthoughtful to the song
@@CesarDainezi My bad, new to this all, so lesson learnt 🙂 thanks for commenting though
You stopped it before the end and missed quite a notable moment 😂 why not just let it run?
Lesson learnt, hehe thanks for commenting we are new to this whole thing so every day is a learning day
You missed the laugh at the end of the song.
Too long??? It's even one of Opeth's sub 10 min songs! :>
