Expensive firewood. They do have better condition & rare stocks for $200+.
Actually, the section of wood that was removed from the stock was very thin, and was prone to breakage, and could cause the slide to bind up or jam, so that’s why they removed them from the earliest stocks, and the design was changed in the later stocks, as in the ones you have.
Hi Dan even the metal part's the butt plate, barrel band, and that stock lug are worth more than the $20 you paid for the stock's
Nice. Looks like garbage with a price tag. Nothing new from J&G.
I wonder if they would fit on a late model Universal?
No
I bought a couple of those stocks a while back. I was in need of a stock, and I can't complain. Cleaned up well, and not bad priced.
What did you use to clean it up?
Good to see. I was debating on getting a spare one
You have the handguard modification backwards. Early stocks were known as high wood stocks as the main stock did not have a groove cutout near the charging handle. They would later cutout the groove to make it wider. The upper handguard did not receive any major modifications near the charging handle like you mention.
lol 😂 thanks for that correction
Wow. I love garbage for money
Kind of a random question. Never seen it before. But were you a staff sergeant?
Yes
Pulverized!!!
That two rivet handguard almost looks like one of the bull nose Winchester handguards from WWII
I got a plastic stock on my 1944 underwood carbine. Honestly anything wood would look better than what I got currently
Yea I would definitely replace that
Dan are you shooting in the milsurp match at the end of the month at Pinetucky?
Does anyone know if rimmed 6.5x52R ammunition will fit into Carcano carbines?
I thought the gun was $25 😅
lol
