- Thank you Theo for an incredible lap around the ring, you made my entire year and inspire me to continue on my own journey modifying the V40.
This was the craziest car i have EVER been inside, this was the craziest i have ever been driven!
one shall NEVER hold on to the rollcage.... many fingers lost like that in motorsport history...also this is more like 450hp rather than 700...
Hé had a green one with 550 hp he took swedenkreutz over 260 km/h
The Volvo 5 cylinder engines are one of the best engines of all times. I drive aVolvo C70 with such engine since 2001, never had ANY engine trouble.
Same with my v40 T4 2003. 200 000km. Not a single engine issue. I do have to renovate the pcv system now though. Not a failure though.
Our C70 T5 blew out all the oil out of the oil pump by the crank...seal went!
@@simonoldroyd5037 this is like the only problem w these engines, and preventable with maintenance!
@@simonoldroyd5037 Of course, many People have always troubles with ANY car, because they don't care or they drive with low or bad oil or less coolant and so on. It's easy to ruin good things...
oh yeah, best engine ever. I just bought a -96 850 that has been driven 100 000 miles. Owned by a Volvo mechanic the past 17 years. I expect to drive this thing until it is me that can't be repaired anymore :D
That is a really cool car, would have loved a peek under the bonnet or a list of mods. Fully agree with others, thats not 700hp. 700hp would be almost useless anyway. I reckon 400hp ish. Maybe a bit more. Sure was rapid 👌
Maybe he turned it down. maybe it produces 700 but he only uses 450 of them
@simonjensen92 Or he's full of it? if you're gonna claim 700 from a whiteblock, you better be ready to talk mods. It's no easy feat.
@@JETFOURLITRE Its pretty easy. You only really need rods, the block can handle 700-800, Pistons are arguable but there are a few guys ruining 98 t5 pistons @ 700hp. For a turbo a g30-900 can do 700hp on 100oct, more with e85 and meth
@@FriendlyIntentions the block will not handle that reliably without sleeves or an insert. Shims won't get you that far either. Not for long anyway.
@@JETFOURLITRE What are you talking about, i know 6 ppl personally runing over 700 hp on non-sleeved blocks for years. Limit of the block without sleeves is around 800 hp, we are talking 2.3 81mm bore. Not the shit 2.5 83mm you are thinking that, the shims do fuckall
The 850 is one of the best cars ever made
that is not 700hp, it does look fast, but much more like 400ish, at 700 it would have much more wheel spin even with an lsd
450`s?
it looks a lot slower on video then in real life.
The hp combined with his steering abilities makes him faster then 70% of the porches on the ring.
And the wheelspin part.
Its a stand alone ECU, the lower gears have less power to reduce wheelspin.
Also a It has a lsd with a racing gearbox
Nevertheless. Go to brunchen, speak with the driver en get in the passenger Seat.
Thats a heavy brick, would need 1000 to make it faster
2:10 damn passed that Corvette like it was a fat guy on a moped going up a steep hill......
I had a late model 96 , of these....although quite nimble in the corners , it still wanted to wheel spin and go straight , despite the horsepower
Idk what it is with volvos but i guess a lot of hp and tourque low down fwd means wheel spin, quaife diff or Gripper lsd does wonders!
Always funny to pick out the people in the comments that have never seen a car with proper traction control and boost strategies with the engine management. Seeing it freightrain cars in the upper gears tells the real story, that thing is making some serious steam. Minimal wheelspin just means its properly set up!
That exhaust leak drives me nuts lol
Bästa videon up to date Oliver! Sjukt nog på en live också 🤝 snyggt
Thanks G, försöka bara göra det bättre och bättre!
Fantastic
LOVE YOU GAUS
What a cool video!
The green one had 550 horsepower on engine
This one has more.
The first Grey one had around 350 horsepower.
The filming makes it look slower.
Sweden kreutz he is wel above 250 km/h
really?
@@64fairlane305 yes. With the green one we had 318 on the navigation
@@scantkevin 318 what ? 😅
@@Boosted-850Rkm/h
You should get Misha to drive this man, will be a great video.
Stupenda ❤
what camera are you using to film this? looks crazyyyyyyyy
Sorry secret! Gotta gatekeep it!
Well the shake is awful but the angle is nice but okay!
@@bobmylo osmo dji3 with nd filters, it was just a head cam super quick. I have another video with a proper setup on this car!
NEVER use a low frame rate like 24 or 25 for "handheld" (or in this case, presumably head-mounted) footage. It's absolutely nauseating to look at and gives motion sickness and eye strain. Low frame rate settings should always be damped with a gimbal of some kind, preferably a 4-axis one that isolates against bumps, or in the case of something that only needs to look in a single direction, a 3-axis one that damps bumps, side-to-side jostles, and roll rotation.
For undamped general shots or vlog-style footage(like this), a bare minimum of 30fps is required. If you "can't" run 30fps in a given country because of lights flickering in your footage, manually set the shutter speed to 1/50th of a second to compensate for this(this will also improve the footage by adding a touch more motion blur than standard 30fps settings). If you can't even access 30fps, you may have to switch the camera from PAL mode to NTSC mode. Furthermore, choose an all-intra-frame codec to record in such as All-I, XAVC S-I, ProRes, DNxHR, DNxHD, Cineform, Motion JPEG, JPEG 2000, or DNG so that maximum motion accuracy is maintained.
After that, if possible, choose true 30.00 instead of 29.97, but more importantly, match your editing settings to the version which the camera records in. However, re-encoding from 29.97 to true 30 during the finalization/export process or before editing is also done as long as it's still an all-intra-frame codec while editing. (Obviously, your export/finalized video codec after editing, the one that you upload to UA-cam, will have to be something that's supported by UA-cam, and that's fine.)
Elsker det 😁
What camera did you use in this video?
@@Johnson0717 dji osmo 3 with ND filter im sure, tough a head strap to mount it so quite bouncy
Has the engine been swapped? Or is it a 5 cylinder!
Still the 5 cylinder, but it does have sleeves installed so it can handle the power!
You need to listen to some 1980's Audi 90, 100, S1 racing. All have similar 5 cyl. power plants.
screw the dyno just let the youtube experts tell you your hp by video
mamma mia
lord have mercy
I really dont believe it is 700hp
No idea exactly how much but owner told me 700, it sure was quick though
Fully forged motor
With KMS fuel system
105/110mm outlet turbo
He previous had a green 850 sedan t5r with 500 hp engine. I chickend out at the autobahn with 270 km/u on navi
This one is significant faster.
Owner is not a show dude but honest about the hp.
When he says 700hp Its on the motor and perhaps 10hp of
FuNkY !!!
do not see that We can tuch this, Volvo for live for safety. It is a big little from Sweden. Yaap I like . Volvo masters. No more coments. You can do it.
Maybe closer to 500 in engine. but like 420 ish on wheels. THis is fast. But when he misses the gear you can hear that there is some power but also lack of good engine tune / turbo choice . It does really kick in good but specs would be nice.
It wouldn’t have that much power loss at wheels. It’s FWD.
Ahhhh dont think so. Why? Heres example: bmw e92 m3....will it keep up with this 850??? Never even though the bmw has 420hp 200mph gearing and definitely better suspension geometry. 0-60 the m3 is faster for sure but 60-120+ the m3 is dust. This 850 most definitely has 500+hp
Well i have a good built 850 T-5R and have a few friends with all from 4-800hk on 850 or S/V70, S60/V70 . And most of them is fast and "crazy fast" But with right gearbox. 4,45 . 4.24. 4.00 (normal) or 3,76? then there is also High and Low version on those. But a good tune car with "only" around 4-450hk can be way faster and much more scary to drive or be in with a good driver than a just "fast" car with mush power. Still gonna need to re mapp my car but i got the ground to get around 7-800- But more likely just gonna make a good rune around 450 so i can drive the car. @@andreyt1436
Extremes Turboloch
300-330hp in a cold day.
I think my Elevate tuned XC70 would dog this thing on acceleration.
Might have been helpful to see the gauges in an inset box while he was driving.
You have no idea.
boy this ain't 700hp volvo@@tommasomartinelli1891
Did you stop to consider that maybe, just maybe there is a chance that he turned it down?
300 in a cold day. Its 1500kg car that 2.5 t5r had to pull forward.
Adaptions:
Fully forged motor
KMS fuel system
And one big ass turbo. Outlet diameter 105/110 mm
~ 400 hp in the video at least. Take it to misha
Not my car
What is the owner's Instagram? I would like to know the modifications that the Volvo has
The owner is like 50-55yrs old. No online presence im afraid
Its a co-worker/friend of mine

Jag har haft en volvo med ca 280 det känns som en snigel så jag tror ägarens nummer stämmer rätt bra 😂
:)
Never 700hp…
These cars were not turbo
Nope they werent, they were about 300hp NA. This one aint that.
@@perfectedpursuitthe btcc ones had around 300 n/a. but n/a volvo 850 road cars had sub 200hp. this is not a btcc car if the guy said so he lied lmao. this is likely a t5 or an r with the livery. and it is nowhere near 700hp. probably closer to 300-350 wheel. 700hp this thing would rip past that e30 and it would not hook as well as it is i promise. idk why the guy would lie to you about that
@@onfazo It's a BTCC inspired car, so no not one of the very few and limited 850 BTCC cars that raced during the 90s. I guess i should have written that out.
As for the Horsepower i dont know, don't think he was lying but perhaps a boost issue. I mean i saw the turbo and did notice the turbo lag
Sadly it was so. Rules didn't permit.
I have Driven his green one myself i chickend out at 270 with navi at the autobahn.
The full force of the 700 hp is mostly noticable after adenau when hé goes uphill.
For the non believers go to brunchen in the summer and ride along with him
Would have enjoyed it more without the stupid childish giggling
Don't watch my channel then, buddy!
i would have enjoyed it less had it just been loud engine noises

How such pilot are able to get a license and fly. They are dangerous for them and the others. Good ATC but maybe ATC could miss important events focusing on this poor pilot.
