The whole Kendra vs Victoria thing was probably faked to give Vicky some screen time. She disappeared as soon as everyone started talking and they had to literally drag her into the spotlight. We stan a quiet queen.
Kendra actually has not liked VEB for a while now. She makes it very obvious in her own Dragula review show. Which is funny because VEB has always followed her on socials

Victoria, Yovska, Astrud and Evah definitely had the strongest looks for the challenge. The two pumpkin looks were my favourites - so camp and creative!
…Hoso’s behaviour towards Abhora is troubling. Her stating she isn’t interested in Abhora romantically at all, only to then say “I love you” and give Abhora a kiss…that comes across as super manipulative and problematic. It’s not okay to toy with someone’s emotions like that. Major red flags

If you've never watched Evah Destruction paint her face your missing out. That bitch gets in the zone and is so precise with ever brush stroke and even if she messes up, she can instantly fix it with no worries. It's crazy. It's very fascinating to watch her paint.

When Abhora explained the look in the boudoir saying “I’m going for a meta look, what you see is what you get”, I thought she was going to play on the “what are you?” question people ask on Halloween. Even though that doesn’t fit the challenge they could have said they were thinking outside the box lol

Abhora was going for a flatwoods monster inspired alien look. In her notes it was written. Her hands look pretty close. The flatwoods monster looks very alien. But the resemblances isn't too strong
Para mi, I would've loved a double feature rather than a double length episode. There was quite non-competition talking (love triangle/arguments) which made the episode feel more like a reality show than a competition. Especially with the love triangle thing, which felt a little uncomfortable. I'm really looking forward to the rest of gagula though!
In season 1, Loris had to eat animal products, and she was a vegan.
I think most meat eaters would be disgusted eating raw animal organs and blood. It’s definitely not trying to glorify meat eating
The vegan thing is so weird to me in this context, like yes, some people don't eat meat, some people are also claustrophobic, faint if they see blood or needles, scared of heights or whatever, it's like fear factor, if you aren't willing to do it don't sign up or just refuse to do the challenge and leave. They ALL have to do stuff they would never do, they're really acting like meat eaters would be fine with a mouth full of blood and raw organs lol.
@@mismismism I think the difference is like, being afraid of heights or whatever isn’t based on any sort of ethical reasoning, it’s a fear/phobia. Being vegan or whatever is often an ethical decision. Nobody is afraid of eating chicken or whatever. For me, I’d like to see the show move away from non-human animal use. It doesn’t add anything to the show

@@danielsimmich1858 even if they are vegan, it's very clear that these people are consenting to be a part of it. Regardless of the reasoning (ethical thinking or phobias( the show is about the shock factor.
My favourite part of IMHO is learning about your lives. It makes it stand apart from just reviewing review shows.

Team Darby re: Astrud. I think it's a " fake till you make it " kinda thing, I believe she's just not fully confident in herself yet, so she does too much, she's a try hard. And that can rub some people the wrong way.
She is also extremely talented and a great performer. She'll chill, in time.

I have hoped since the episode aired that the animal parts were fake. I would simply not be willing to go through such a thing as a vegan simply because of the same reason no one would do it if they were body parts. This isn't vegans being picky, this is us genuinely being horrified at the lack of conscience it takes to murder animals for entretainment, it is absolutely NOT fun at all.
I still think that the buckets weren't filled real blood and body parts though.

I'm vegan and my thoughts are that people are vegan for ethical reasons and try to minimize supporting animal cruelty. If the queen does participate, they're participating in and supporting a show that contributed to animal cruelty as well as going against their ethics. Also, their digestive biomes are unadapted to animal products, so ethics aside, they will be more ill for consuming animal products. And finally, yeah they could just not go on the show, but that sucks that an entire group of people can't participate, and even if they do, will be at a disadvantage.
