My nephew is actually a food scientist. He developed, among other things, cotton candy-flavored tortillas for a small tortilla company that, unfortunately never went to market (even though everyone at the company _loved_ them). At one point he worked for the food science company that developed the Frappuccino® for Starbucks-you wouldn’t think an enormous company like Starbucks would contract out its food science work but, apparently, it does.

A: Cupping? What's that? like tasting coffee?

    What do you do?
I've been working a Speech and Language Pathologist(SLP) for 10 years.
A: 언어치료사요?
A Speech and Language Pathologist? What is that? Is it similar a Physical Therapist?
Something like that. But Physical Therapists treat peoples muscles and body to move well, SLPs treat people so that they can speak and understand well.
Oh, so it’s similar to a language teacher, right?
Yeah. That’s one way to look at it, though it’s not exactly the same.
That’s really interesting and unfamiliar. Then you must know things about Korean grammar.

    • @stevenjon1347
      @stevenjon1347 2 роки тому +14

You can say, "At least better than the average consumer" as well. The 'your' part is part of a set expression. For example, "He's smarter than your average dog" 'Your' in this case doesn't imply possession/ownership, it just fits the expression better and is used to emphasise that something is better than average. "He's smarter than your average student" = "He's more intelligent than what you would expect".

B: Mortician? Isn't it like... a wedding planner of funeral?
A: Well, something like that, but when they're in more charge of arranging ceremony I think they tend to be called more as "funeral directors" than morticians, as far as I've seen on that video.
A: Oh, now I get it. It's the make-up artist thing of funeral, right?
B: Umm... I guess you can say that. Make-up is part of their job. They make dead bodys more...presentable, in various ways, before families gather to the funeral.
A: Sounds like it's one of the most miserable jobs in the world.
B: Well, they deal with the things that other people normally don't want to see or touch... or smell. So that's one way to look at it. But the mortician guy on the video said that's the thing makes morticians so special.

A: Dune? What kind of movie is it? I've never heard of that movie before. Is it a movie related to deserts?
B: Um.. yeah, something like that. But I think it's more of a future war movie.
A: Oh~ so it's like a war movie filmed in the desert.
B: That's a good way to look at it.
A: It's sounds very interesting. I guess it must have been really good since you only told me two things that you did over the weeekend.

B: It's a kind of movement to save the Earth.
A: Save? How? By getting rid of the waste?
B: Something like that. But actually it's impossible so they try to reduce the waste.
A: Ah, so these days people don't use wooden chopsticks.
B: Yeah. That's one way to participate.
A: Oh~ Then I can easily save the earth. I rarely use the disposable products such as wooden chopsticks, disposable cup, plastic bag.
B: Yeah, I guess that helps. At least better than average people who don't know about the enviromental crisis.

Something like that. But it's not the kind of plan. After opting in to limit data plans, any extra data fees don't incur.
The way I can see that the thing is unlimited data.
That's one way to look at it. But that depends on data speed when you reach the data limit. At least if you want to see video content, I think you should set an unlimited data plan.

B: Well, something like that. but I feel like the flu test was more tough. Anyway that’s actually really serious and worrying. I didn’t feel Corona virus was so close to us until I got tested. It’s completely different from just hearing about others’ cases and experiencing it in person. We have to follow the quarantine rules strictly. Most of all, we have to keep in mind that there’s no exception for anyone regarding this virus.
