Congrats Paul
Love to see Paul join the UFC after hes concurred PFL

Belfast man here, well done to RKID.
The Irish are so nice and respectful.
What, all of them?
until they take their first drink of the day
@@KeyserSoze23What a brain dead stereotype lmao
Blanchardstown is super super posh. WHAT? Thats hilarious 😂 🤣
Blanchardstown is definitely not posh. A person was shot dead and another stabbed to death in a restaurant there a few months ago. That's hyperbole if i heard it.
Had to rewind when i heard Blanch been called posh 😂
All those haters hating a guy who is doing his best... feel genuinely sad for them
Let's go Champ!!
He should win the tournament and make money. Although he will not be household name
Sorry but if you’re not in the UFC you’re not doing your best.
@@VROOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM If you succeed in UFC, it means you are famous. There are other promotions, like One Championship and PFL, which are no joke. You should've known better
@@MightyUnderdog under which promotion do the best fighters in the world, fight?
@@VROOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM if you only watch UFC, you will never know
Everyone commenting on him choosing the pfl over ufc. When your Irish u don’t need ufc to have the country backing you. The average fighters are well known never mind fighters that fight for major promotions
It all depends what you want out of your career.. if you want to be remembered as a great, the ufc is your only option.. but if you just want to make a living from fighting because that’s what you love doing.. then there are definitely better options than the ufc, typically easier fights for more money.
You are misinformed my friend. Big names get paid more yes.. but the no names are neither making a name or more money
@@christianvaughn1328no you are... pfl oats easy money for their competition in the series... ask Kayla who fought cans and won 3 million
The dogs walk about in DM boots in Blanchard's town .
Paul 👑
What a gem of a guy.
The average pay and average contract based off the UFC's profit is probably better outside, it's virtually a known fact at this point. HOWEVER the ceiling is definitely ALOT higher in the UFC.
definitely not, UFC's average salary is much, MUCH higher.
PFL/Bellator/One invest more in specific fighters, Doumbe, Hughes, former UFC fighters etc, giving better contracts exclusively to them, which are slightly hyped for the hardcore MMA fan and try to build on them.
I guess for you it isn't a known fact then@@mateusoliveiramm
This is how we know you know nothing lol, the UFC’s average payout shyts on everyone else. Instead of the average fighters getting paid 5 grand to show and win, in the ufc it’s like 12 and 12 or 16 and 16.
Based on the UFC's profit it's alot worse. The ability to get a better contract outside out of the original contract is a lot harder within the UFC.@@maka3130
It seems like people have decided like this was the only time UFC will ever be an option. Or that both deals have risks to them and betting on how you perform. The offer he had with PFL had a nice upside for where he’s at in the grand scale and a company invested in marketing him. If he flops whatever number he got from them was likely multiples of what he would’ve started at with the UFC. Then consider how little he has likely earned so far fighting in CW. So for him the comparison is to gamble missing the UFC someday to take an offer where he will at least earn something substantial for once, and if he performs well and gets marketed, the UFC will be back with a healthier offer and he will be in a financial position to shoot for the upside.
Keep in mind Paddy had two $12K/$12K fights before he got a big bump and had his popularity not taken off like it did and he not won he easily may have been back on the market but with a substantially diminished value having flopped in the UFC. That’s a huge gamble to take if you haven’t made anything to fall back on yet. Or you gamble the way he is, where he needs to perform well, but he realistically knows he will earn some level of security in the worst case. And if he excels he will earn over seven figures and be back to the market with a more known name at around 30 and a better offer from the UFC than risking it all for what was more than likely starting at $12K/$12K. If the dude was 35 then it’s a different thing but at 27 taking a bit of security short term and building your name in the process leaves ample opportunity to make a UFC move as a prospect they’ll actually want to position and market like we saw with others who made the jump after succeeding in the other promotions first but will have youth in his side unlike an Askren or Chandler.
Eric Dier is all tough now?
Blanch is posh? Haha
Some casuals in comments hughes is a killer pfl will grow they have plenty of money and decent roster
Absolutely no one watches PFL, lol
@@milkweedreflections say what u want they will get better only fools wanna just see ufc as only company more promotions the more the sport grows suppose knowone watches one either
He's chosen the money option which I get but the opportunity in ufc is higher
Take the money now while youre young. With injuries, fighting can be short lived... All going well this kid will have much bigger opportunities/offers from the UFC as a more mature fighter
He chose to be way less famous for more money. All because of his friend who was left a vegetable
Smart guy
Beag a baol ortsa mo chara, tiocfaidh do lá leis an ufc sílim. Go neirí go geal leat le PFL Paul Hughes Abú! 🎉
The amount of hometown pride watching this is hard to even put into words, would’ve been amazing to see him with the ufc but it’ll be great to see him smoke some poor fella on the big stage nonetheless.
Nice try Ian Garry we know thats you
Wow the density in this comment section is shocking. All these ufc 🥜 rider sofa tough guys. I only watch ufc myself, but I don't doubt for a second they offered him jack. Good for him for not taking that. The guy is what 26? Cash in, still a massive step up from CW, and if he wants he goes to the ufc later for more money. People are duuuuuuumb man.
Exactly man plus if he wins a couple of pfl title or a bellator title than goes to the ufc he will most likely get a top ten opponent in his debut .
Ariel is such a snide sometimes. 6:15 Paul just saying he's like to have put his promo out before the announcement and Ariel's question is are you a Type A personality?
Who?????
Who
It's 100% your choice and best of luck to you, but nobody will know you in the PFL. It's a zombie league. There's practically no ceiling in the UFC. If you aren't willing to bet on yourself and you have a family to feed RIGHT NOW I can't blame you.
Because he wants to fight b level competition
because the ufc offer 12/12
Easier competition, and the promotion likely doesn't do any drug testing
1.PFL use USADA testing 2. They will have offered him much more money 3. He’s 26 years old he can build his name, make his money and if he wants go to ufc after a couple years he can or he can retire before he’s 30.
@@Lee_0419boom haha
never heard of this guy. If he beleived in himself so good he should of go UFC. They would have push him and more oppurtunities. imagine he does.shitty in PFL
Wee Paul
Smh PFL just let go Gegard.
Francis still hasn't fought for PFL and he's been with PFL for maybe 2 years and has had 2 fights...2 fights in boxing.
UFC is where you wanna be
... why not join ufc... pfl is not going five you lot of money.... you need ppv buys
Literally says the pfl offer was much better. Not even close. Just a few minutes in, you don't even have to have a good attention span smh. And please don't tell me that you think everyone in the ufc gets ppv points lol.
👽👽👽
Choosing not to be great gets you a 40-minute interview?
Hes been a great for years? What you on about?
Ariel pushing his anti UFC narrative, lol
I’m a UFC stan but if he’s legit he can build his name in PFL...He can still make the jump to UFC when he’s in his prime
What a shame. Straight to the C-league.
Exactly
Time stamp?
So whats B-League?
Yep Pfl/snoozator won’t even give their fighters 3 fights a year cause they can’t pay them 🤣 3 years and they’re gone
Bro was expecting 100k+ views 😅 hes a nobody
Unless you do something crazy viral nobody is going to know who you are outside this interview. No one watches pfl
An Aussie playing Irish?
2 irish parents moved back to Ireland a couple months after being born, not the brightest are you
He doesn't claim to be Australian though, interesting that. Did you know Volkanovski was born in Brazil?
Who tf is that guy🤣🤣🤣
@@NoahCanFB obviously but anyone who picks PFL over UFC is a verified nobody

Lets go Mighty Mouse, Mike Perry, Francis proved you dont need the ufc. I hope this man nothing but future wins in his pfl endeavor. We'll see if hes happy when his deal is over. Ufc will still be there and hell still be in his prime. 🫡
Francis got his name from the UFC, who the f*ck knew who he was before he joined UFC? NOBODY that's who, UFC made francis
