6 years later and this video is still helping people around the world. I'm a year 4 medical student and I've always had trouble understanding all the different diagrams. Having you explain not only each plane of view but also how they are related and overlap has really cleared this up for me. Thanks a bunch!
When you said "hope this has made sense a little more than it was," I thought: Oh no... not more, it was actually the first time that it has made sense. Thank you sir :-)
I had a temendous ammount of trouble understanding this in my Toxicology book. This video definitely helped me understand the concept of the acinus. Thanks!
i have watched many of ur videos and they are really good and diagrams r also good as i can easily draw them and explain in the examination thank you and make more such videos
Thanks for simplifying this thing so nicely. Couldnt understand this thing so clearly ever. Hopefully..will be easier to remember and revise too. Please keep the good job up!!
This is an amazing tutorial. Just what I was looking for. Do you have a good source to explain what the different zones do. Do they have specific function or are they simply anatomical landmarks.
Why can't one layer the zones (from acinus model) on the classic model? The zones merely reflect the degree of oxygenated blood hepatocytes receive. Is it incorrect to draw 3 concentric zones within the hexagons to depict the gradient of oxygenated blood too? I guess my underlying question is what truly differentiates the acinus model and classic model?
Yooo 10 yrs later this video is still better than most other explanations gg
