    the only thing that was confusing for me is when you wrote deceleration were bad, but i thought early decelerations were good, just late ones were bad

    • @abdullahalzayed7975
      @abdullahalzayed7975 7 років тому +1

      Yes, You're absolutely right.
      Early Decelerations are considered physiological. When the uterus contracts, the fetal ICP increases causing increased vagal tone. AND also variable dec. are also bad

    Excuse me?! At 15:05, the 3rd wave he showed was NOT an example of baseline variability because it didn't last at least 10 minutes. It was a prolonged acceleration because it was between 2 minutes and 10 minutes. Psh…shoooooooooooot.^-^. Important to know that decelerations/accelerations that last longer than 2 minutes and less than 10 are called "prolonged". Also recurrent ones are ones occurring with contractions at least 50% of the time over a 2 minute span. Intermittent ones occur with contractions less than 50% of the time during a 2 minute window. ;)
    I'm curious what he means when he talks about reactive vs nonreactive. Is this during the non stress test or is this during what's called a "stress test", or is there not such a thing?

    Thanku was quite helpful.. still variability was difficult to understand also I couldn't get that that one box is a min then for acceleration why 2 boxes( I.e 2 min) said as 15 bpm?

  • @ForeignDoc

    At around 17 mins ... arent we talking abt decelerations ? ..early, late etc ?

    what if the result of the test in NONSTRESS test indicate non-reactive findings, and the CONTRACTION STRESS TEST result are negative. would I interpret it as ABNORMAL because Non-reactive finding are bad, or would I interpret it as NORMAL because negative result is represented as no late deceleration of FHR? where would I base my Interpretation?

    Every little square is 10 seconds. So 2 little square does not equal 1 min. You should take this down . It is inaccurate!
