I haven’t beaded since I was a brownie scout, 65 years ago. I have been watching beading videos, and decided to attempt a project. I have a lot of Miyuki 6/0s and 8/0s because I add them to the lace shawls which I knit. I made a PRAW bangle using a bunch of those beads. It looks a bit weird, different sections with different beads, but I got the stitch right away. Your tutorials are wonderful. This gives me confidence to try more complex projects. Thank you Stephanie.
Five years on, I just visited your video, I think the way you explain is so clear. Brilliant!!!! Thank you. Your sauggestion of trying various sizes, is fabulous. You have inspired me to do a mega bangle.👍💗
Just bought Swarovski mulberry Pearl's. I am doing a five bead around using sparkly green 3 mm rondell, and a 8* Hybrid in a soft jade. It is stunning. Thank you so very much for your tutorials.
Again. THANK YOU for sharing, but if I hear “just like that” one more time, I will go insane!!! But seriously I love all that you share and you are a AWESOME teacher. Thank you
+Mary Skorstad You’re very welcome 😉 Sorry, I don’t want you to go insane over a video Mary! I’m sure there are many other UA-camrs who do this stitch and will be pleasant for you to listen to🌻🙏😃
Immer wieder geschmackvolle Arbeiten, auch eine schöne Perlenauswahl, niemals kitschig. Ich liebe diese Anleitungen und habe einen großen Teil auch schon selbst nachgearbeitet und freue mich auf jede weitere.
Really Beautiful bracelet. I have been crocheting for years and I have seen the crochet bangles which are similar to these. I am anxious to get into beading so I can try your technique.
Love this bangle! Your instructions are always so clear that I have absolutely no trouble with your projects. I really love your designs too. While I love to make jewelry I can't design at all. I'm so grateful to have found your channel, thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you very much for the recommendation of Nozue Sonoko thread--I've been beading for more than 20 years and had never heard of it--it makes a big difference!
Love your tutorials! I have learned so much from watching your tutorials. You make it easy for beginners like me without sounding condescending. Thank you so much. Keep them coming.
Thankyou so much another brilliant tutorial your step by step instructions are so easy to follow. Glad I found your channel. Love this stitch just got to grip with craw so it’s onward and upward xx
I am so happy I looked at this tutorial because I was eyeballing it but fearing the stitch would be a complicated one to do so I had left it for "later"...Im still celebrating and toasting to the fact that I finally (thanks to you) got the CRAW figured it out which has given me great pleasure..I have been "crawing" and crawing..... PRAW it's beautiful and it looks so fun to do...It looks like I'll be "Prawing" and Prawing very soon..Today I'm ordering the Nozu Sunoko thread so I can try all the beautiful bangles from your tutorials.. So many things I still need to try and do..exciting!,, Thank you again for ALL you do for us. Love and Peace 💗🌺✌️
Hello Stephanie, So enjoyed your tutorial, calm and so easy to see what's going on. Bit of a sea gypsy at the moment so collecting lots of ideas and materials while I can get them. Thank you, love it.
Of course, I love it and am going to try it. You make it look so easy and your tutorials are so clear. A great start to the new year. Thank you so much, much love.
Made the Jade coloured version except in blue. I'mm short about 18 beads and my local shop has to reorder! I may make a black one while I wait. It does seem easier than CRAW. The larger beads are easier to handle, too.
Wow, Stephanie! I have a lot of trouble with "cubic" RAW 😵......but when you said "prismatic" RAW, I thought to myself, well, this is one video I'll have to skip! 😱 But your instructions are soooooooo easy to follow!! I never thought I'd ever be able to get this stitch, but now I think there's hope for me 🤣🤗👍. Thanks so much!!!!😍
Thanks Ann 🙏🌻😀 I know you can do this stitch!!! I think it is easier than CRAW. Just take your time and go slow. Practice, practice, practice and most of all have fun doing it 🌸 🌺🌼
I agree with Aruna. It does seem easier than CRAW! I also like how the 2 mm beads hide the thread! You are going to laugh. I was leery to watch. I thought I better practice more CRAW first. But then I thought, “Wait a minute! This is Stephanie. She will make it so understandable that there will be no worries. “And of coUrse you did. Thank you so much!
I have been wanting to learn this stitch with no understanding it! You are so good at teaching this! I completely got it! But will save just in case I need further help!
Stephanie...1st, Happy New Year to you! 2nd, you've done it again. I've watched another UA-camr's video on PRAW and vowed I would never do it. I was so confused. Then here you come along, and it's elementary my dear Watson. Love you. Thank you. God blessed you with the gift for clarity of explanation. Wow! I pray that God will continue to richly bless you because you continually bless us. I'm making this tonight. 🤗 Andrea p.s. thanks for responding below to another post about your selection of beads and from whom you purchase.
Awww you're very kind 😀🙏🌻 Thank you so much❤️ Some of these stitches look so complicated but when you break them down they become understandable!!! I'm so glad the tutorial was helpful🙏
Steph I gotta compliment you on your utube presentation but also on your hands! Your nails are lovely so nicely manicured! And I love yr sweaters. Thanks, I’m sure yr viewers know what I mean! Some videos. The hands are not pretty and distracting! Xxxxx
Maggie R you got that right .. her nails is always manicured and her sweaters are all cute I can tell from her tutorials , and I thought I a the only one who noticed that!!
Une fois encore une excellente vidéo. C'est toujours un plaisir de vous regarder. Un grand merci pour votre partage et une heureuse année 2018. Merci 😊😊😊. Lili
Omg I can actually do it, I followed for the first and second round and am now doing it myself 🙌 you rock, you are such an amazing teacher, thank you so much, when I want to learn a new stitch, I always always come to you. Thank you so so much Stephanie 💗💗💗
I love how you give me time to follow along and explain every step. So far this channel is the best at giving instructions! Thank you for your hard work and I am so glad I found you!
Stephanie, I thought you might like to know that bead designer Diane Whiting has developed a PRAW Perfect Starter Kit for people who struggle with CRAW and PRAW. Designer Jill Wiseman Demos this on her YOUTube Page. What this tool does is help people start the stitch. Jill Wiseman also sells it on her website.
This is a great stitch. Used the light grey nozue, but it is very obvious so am switching to black nozue, if that stands out, will go to fireline smoke. I use a rather tight tension, but the threads show where going in and out of 2mm druks. I find the Nozue tangles easily, much more than fireline. Do you wax it? It does have a nice stretch, so worth learning to use. I really appreciate all your videos. You are an excellent teacher and I like your style and colors. Your camera and audio are so wonderful. You could give lessons to some other tutors.
Thank you so much🙏😊🌻 The CRAW and PRAW stitches tend to show thread so I use black Wildfire or smoke Fireline to minimize that. . I would definitely wax the Nozue Sonoko. You’re very kind 💗💙❤️
You are very welcome. I find the Nozue shreds going through the pearls, so am switching to fireline. It's a good all around thread. Will try waxing Nozue later. Did you use 4mm beads in the jade or turquoise bracelet? They look a little bigger. Do you ever teach classes? That would be a real treat. Are you going to be at the B&B Show? S
wow! this is so neat! It will be my next project!! I was wondering though if I could use fish line for this. I just bought a lot, and it does have a bit of stretch to it. It's hard for me to get used to it, but I think I should for these beautiful bangles!
Chr Living thank you 🙏🌻 I’m not sure what you mean by fish line? If it is Fireline fishing line then yes. Or are you referring to monofilament? Let me know do I can help 😃
I have no idea what it is. I just went to the bead shop and asked for fish line. The label is in Chinese, and it's 0.2 mm thick and a bit stretchy. I actually find it a bit uncomfortable to work with because it often slips out of the needle eye. Have to watch it all the time, even if the tail is long.
Hi Stephanie, thank you for sharing this video, the instructions are so simple to follow. I am wondering if bicones can be used in place of the pearls. If yes then what would be the thread of choice? I do not have enough pearls, but have lots of bicones that I want to use. Thanks again!
You're welcome! I don'y think it would work very well with bicones as it might be hard to get the RAW units to sit properly. However, I've never done it with bicones so give it a try with a small piece and see how it sits. The bicones might also cut the thread (any thread you use will probably cut from the bicone's edges when stitching around like this). Have you thought of making the Interlace Bracelet which uses a ton of little 3mm bicones.ua-cam.com/video/LMvpZZ_EDs4/v-deo.html
@@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry Thank you Stephanie for your reply. I have been careful where to use the bicones because of the very reason that they cut the thread :( . I watched your video for Interlace Bangles and I loved it, I think I will make that. It seems to work real quick. I am in Australia, have school holidays for 2 weeks and I am would love to bead, bead and more beading 😀 in these 2 weeks. Thanks again for sharing the tutorials😊
love this, like all your projects and the colours are first class. I'm trying to get my materials together but can't get the colours I want in 3mm. do you think it would be too chuncky made with all 4mm's? and you would still use 2mm druks (can't get them either) or 8/o's, right? I can never find the right shade of turquoise!!!! Thank you for all your beautiful videos. I love your style.
Leda Rizzo Thank you Leda 🙏🌻😊 Try the 4mm and 8/0’s or 11/0’s. You’ll be able to tell if the sizes work well together. I know 8/0 and 11/0 work. Also 3mm and 11/0. The 4mm will be chunky but I think it would be beautiful. Try a variety of bead sizes 🌻
Hi Stephanie, in the other bangles you have as an example I had two colour questions. In the one with the blue accent and the black one are those white pearls or Grey? Also the one with the blue accent what is that blue bead? It looks like a gemstone. Really love that blue colour. Thank you so much for all you do!
+Louanne Fournier Hi Louanne🌻 You’re very welcome! The black one has grey pearls and the blue has white pearls. The blue bead is a cats eye bead. It looks like a gemstone to me too but had no tag.
Hi Stephanie, I’m a long time subscriber and as always a beautiful project. Can I ask do you know if there is a big difference between Czech pearls and Czech druks? Sometimes I can find the color needed in one or the other. I wondered what the difference was? Thank you!
+Louanne Fournier A really good question Louanne😃 I think the finish is different. I have only used Swarovski pearls. When I compare them to a Druk, the pearl has that sheen of a real pearl and the Druk is more like an unfaceted fp bead. I am assuming a Czech pearl will have the same finish as a Swarovski pearl.
Hi Stephanie, greetings from Tipperary, love your tutorials, and your designs, tried the praw mega bangle with 3mm pearls and size 11 seed beads, but when I go to sew the ends together, some of the inside pearls are bulging out, is it my tension, (not tight enough..) or the thread I'm using, K.O.? Monica
Thank you so much 😊 The KO thread may be too soft and your tension not quite tight enough. Could you take out a few rounds and tighten up your tension. Maybe wax the KO?
@@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry Thanks Stephanie, figured it might be the tension or the thread, I'll retry with tighter tension, and also the thread waxing, thanks a mill, love your work, hope you're all well over there 😊🤩
Couple things: 1. Love the video. 2. Your lack of cuticles gives me hope in life. 😍 3. You mentioned in an older video -2016 I think? - RAW bezeling. Do you know which video you were referring to? Would you say RAW bezeling is easier than peyote? Thank you always! ♥️
Thank you Lisa😊 Haha I drench my cuticles in jojoba oil daily 💅 🤣 and I’m not sure which bezel video you are referring to? The Interlace Bezel on my channel is an easy RAW bezel. Try the Mini Ring. I have a playlist of bezels on my channel. I really love the look of a Peyote bezel as well. Learn both - it’s worth the aggravation 🤣🤣🤣
Hi Stephanie Would it be okay if I switched the 2mm druk beads with 2mm fire polished? Thats all I have right now and I don't want to wait to try this !! P.s. you are an awesome teacher and VERY creative and encouraging! So thank you 😊
Hi Steph it'sme again am now using the 11's which is fine. Would you mind telling me what size beads you used in the turquoise bangle, is it all 4's and 2's? or is it all 3MM's and 2MMs? it just looks like 2 sizes of turquoise beads. I think it's gorgeous and trying to mimic that style
Melinda Matos I used 3mm Jade Swarovski pearls and 2mm Nickel Silver Druk 🌻 I put all materials and where I purchased them in the description box under the video 😃
thank you, the druks must make the bracelet lay differently as opposed to the 8'o's I'm using. the druks make it look like you used 3mm and 4mms together. anyway it's beautiful. going to have to get the drunks
Toni Earnest Thanks Toni 🙏🌻😃I put links to where I purchased all materials in the description box below the video. I think the thread is from Fusion Beads.
Oh don’t be sorry Toni I just wanted you to have all the links I had available. When I answer the comments it is on a different screen than the actual video so I didn’t have access to the links in front of me. I hope you feel better soon - I make a super powerful chicken soup 🍜 I wish I could send you some 😊🌻🙏

So beautiful
Wonderful! As usual. Thanks very much and please keep strutting your stuff! L8R
Thanks Maggie 🌻🙏😀 Ill keep strutting LOL
Very nice ! Thanks
Your welcome 💚
Hola Stephanie, me encantó!! GRACIAS, saludos y un abrazo desde México 🌷🤗
Hola Guadalupe 😀🙏🌻 You're very welcome!!! 🌹
Que hermoso. Y tan bien que hace esa técnica. Benditas manitas🖑🖐. Gracias x compartir. Saludos cordiales desde mi querido Ecuador1🇪🇨👏👏👏👏😍💖👌🙋🙋🙋🙋
love this, like all your projects and the colours are first class.
It looks like a gemstone to me too but had no tag.
спасибо большое!!! я люблю все видео Стефани
Very nice.
Thank you 🌸
Hi Stephanie
Happy New Year! Love your designs they are so awesome. Can I bother you by asking where you purchased the stretchy thread?
Thank you
Kika
Thank you Kika 😀 Fusion Beads has the thread. Other websites do as well.
If I don't have druk beads, what size seed bead is ok to use as a replacement? Thank you. I love all of your tutorials!
Thank you Patty🙏🌻😊 You can use 11/0’s.
I love it
Thank you so much 🌻
Love your work always, question, can you do this with 4 starter beads instead of six, to make it thinner around?
Thank you 🙏 Four Bead will make it Cubic Right Angle Weave.
Ok that’s what I figured, was just curious, so just smaller beads to make it thinner, thank you so much
Hi Stephanie, greetings from Tipperary, love your tutorials, and your designs, tried
the praw mega bangle with 3mm pearls and size 11 seed beads, but when I go to
sew the ends together, some of the inside pearls are bulging out, is it my tension,
(not tight enough..) or the thread I'm using, K.O.? Monica
Thank you so much 😊 The KO thread may be too soft and your tension not quite tight enough. Could you take out a few rounds and tighten up your tension. Maybe wax the KO?
@@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry Thanks Stephanie, figured it might be the tension or the thread,
I'll retry with tighter tension, and also the thread waxing, thanks a mill, love your work, hope you're
all well over there 😊🤩
Monica McNicholas You’re welcome 😉 Let me know how it goes.
Couple things:
1. Love the video.
2. Your lack of cuticles gives me hope in life. 😍
Hi Stephanie! very nice tutorial...thank you and happy new year to you!!! :o)
Thanks Francine 🌻
Stephanie! I love this. Can you use 2mm and 3mm druks instead of 3mm pearls?
Thank you 🌻 Yes you can try any combination of 2 and 3mm beads 😊
Hi Stephanie
Would it be okay if I switched the 2mm druk beads with 2mm fire polished? Thats all I have right now and I don't want to wait to try this !!
P.s. you are an awesome teacher and VERY creative and encouraging! So thank you 😊
Yes use your 2mm fire polished beads! PS thank you 🙏😀🌻
Hi Steph it'sme again am now using the 11's which is fine.
Love this !!! Where do you get the Nozue Sonoko Beading thread ?
Toni Earnest Thanks Toni 🙏🌻😃I put links to where I purchased all materials in the description box below the video. I think the thread is from Fusion Beads.
Thank you Steph...I'm sorry I didn't notice that before I asked ...I have been sick with a bad cold so please forgive me !!! LOL
Oh don’t be sorry Toni I just wanted you to have all the links I had available. When I answer the comments it is on a different screen than the actual video so I didn’t have access to the links in front of me. I hope you feel better soon - I make a super powerful chicken soup 🍜 I wish I could send you some 😊🌻🙏
Thank you and I would totally enjoy it !!!
I love this!!! Only have one question... Can you use 4mm and 6mm beads and 2mm druk beads?
I don’t see why not! It will be pretty huge but I say try it. If the 2mm are too small go for a 3mm🌻
Thank You and I will let you know how it goes. if it goes well I will post it on facebook...
