I am a teacher amongst other things. I am also a creative person, I trained as an artist and a musician and spent my life pursuing improvisation and composition. I teach language and often through an acitivity. I tell my students that if they do nothing, wether that means ignoring the language they are supposed to acquire or involving themselves in the tasks we explore in class, they will always be at the start of their journey and have nothing to show based on the passage of time in which they were supposedly participating in the activity. Just do something and share it, the worse that can happen is that no one will be interested, but you can be certain that doing nothing and sharing nothing will garner no interest whatsoever.
