I say that every time I watch this. I remember being spellbound by this performance on Conan back in '98, but was disappointed in the album version. I would LOVE to find a full version if it even exists! Great Peter Buck riff - and keys! Michael's vocals are off the chart, Mike's bass line is killer groovy, and the drumming is in the pocket. You can just feel how pumped they were.
They are constantly having little in-joke moments on stage during every performance, particularly this one. At 2:53, you can hear Michael almost lose it with laughter, very soon after his little moment with Peter.
I have boxes of VHS tapes in storage… I would set my VCR to record last 15 minutes of Letterman, and also 120 minutes from MTV… I have a massive amount of tapes edited from this. Somewhere buried in there, is this very performance…
Peter Buck. The most under rated guitarist of his generation

I love Michael's voice, Peter's pitch bending and Ken Stringfellow's dance behind the synth at the begining. This song is absolutely AWESOME!

2:37 Peter trying to keep it together after catching a glimpse of Michael's weirdness
My thoughts also!😂😂
I'm sure he's seen a lot over the years. 😁

Band is incredible, not a weak link ever, this drummer's good all the drummers are after Bill Berry retired, but miss Bill Berry's musiciainship too.

2:52 what happened?
cuts off too soon
Mike Mills on record as saying that he hated playing this live!
weird really because it translates well live and is easily superior to the studio version
Where did you read/see that if you don't mind me asking?
