Actually being weaker than Thor is rather relative. Yes Loki isn't as physically strong as Thor but he has beaten Thor in a fight on several occasions through wit and tricks. With that said Loki is still a Frost Giant and should be FAR stronger than any regular human.

Watching the show, I felt like it was a bit of a missed opportunity the way they had him simply watch a video in order to retcon him into being the Loki we saw at the start of Infinity War. I’d have liked to have seen a whole show featuring asshole Loki travelling through the space-time continuum on a bunch of crazy, morally ambiguous adventures where maybe by the _end_ he learns a couple of life lessons. But I guess that’s not the direction they wanted to go in.

Maybe Loki just hit the wrong set of buttons using all the charge at once. Like he only meant to use a small amount of charge but mashed a button and didn’t look at the cost.
The head writer Michael Waldron said in an interview that he has never watched any of the previous movies with Loki in it. Makes sense why there are so many things wrong about Loki in the show.
I’m glad you brought up the butterfly effect and the fact that Loki and Sylvie falling in love in an apocalypse should have by their own logic done nothing. Those things bothered me all season.
I legitimately thought they had discovered some sort of new power--only for it to never come up again. And it would have been so easy to do it, too (just have that combined power be what stops Alioth).

All of the characters seem pretty convinced that Loki and Sylvie falling in love is what caused a split in the timeline, despite the fact that they were seconds away from the apocalypse. Unless they’re going to explain that something else happened right at that same time that would have stopped the apocalypse, it seems like lazy writing.

I read it that they were into each other because they both saw something in the other that they found admirable and surprising. Like, our Loki sees that Sylvie has been running and hiding and fighting her whole life, and is brave and resourceful in ways that he hadn't acknowledged himself to be.

Jonathan Majors had some of the best acting I've seen in any movie or show in a long while. I could read every thought, every emotion he had on his face without words. His words and delivery were just as good as his mannerisms. Bloody brilliant actor.
You can watch any movie or show that has a very long scene full of talking, then you'll understand why those were successful in delivery and why Loki's was not.
I only read the books but I thought it was pretty obvious that Daenerys was going to go crazy and kill people. Knowing her blood and her mantra, if I look back everything is lost (or something similar to that). Killing all those people, deserved or not, was taking a toll on her. Not sure how they played it on the show though.

I’m glad you brought up the butterfly effect and the fact that Loki and Sylvie falling in love in an apocalypse should have by their own logic done nothing. Those things bothered me all season.
I legitimately thought they had discovered some sort of new power--only for it to never come up again. And it would have been so easy to do it, too (just have that combined power be what stops Alioth).

All of the characters seem pretty convinced that Loki and Sylvie falling in love is what caused a split in the timeline, despite the fact that they were seconds away from the apocalypse. Unless they’re going to explain that something else happened right at that same time that would have stopped the apocalypse, it seems like lazy writing.

I read it that they were into each other because they both saw something in the other that they found admirable and surprising. Like, our Loki sees that Sylvie has been running and hiding and fighting her whole life, and is brave and resourceful in ways that he hadn't acknowledged himself to be.

Jonathan Majors had some of the best acting I've seen in any movie or show in a long while. I could read every thought, every emotion he had on his face without words. His words and delivery were just as good as his mannerisms. Bloody brilliant actor.
You can watch any movie or show that has a very long scene full of talking, then you'll understand why those were successful in delivery and why Loki's was not.
I would love to see a Pitch Meeting for "Groundhog Day" where he needs to relive the meeting over and over until he gets it perfect.

I only read the books but I thought it was pretty obvious that Daenerys was going to go crazy and kill people. Knowing her blood and her mantra, if I look back everything is lost (or something similar to that). Killing all those people, deserved or not, was taking a toll on her. Not sure how they played it on the show though.
