WHAT A GREAT PROJECT. THANK YOU SO MUCH. YOU TEACH US SUCH A GREAT WAY OF DOING THESE THINGS. I DON'T KNOW HOW YOU COME UP WITH IT, BUT YOU ARE NUMBER ONE WITH US. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY CHERYL.
Hi Kara. On most of my pot holders I use a walking foot to do a quilt stitch pattern with the serpentine stitch. On this pot holder I use a straight stitch without the walking foot. You can use an walking foot if you prefer. Merry Christmas, and happy sewing. 😍
Thank you for this project. I have several to make to day for easy little presents. But I do have a question... About the bottom part, the cotton fabric. In the description, the measurement for the bottom cotton is the width of your towel plus two inches, your video, there's a sticky note that says add 4 inches. Should that be two inches per side?
Thank you very much for this tutorial but I can't find the size of the bottom of the potholder. Is it just me and I'm not finding it? Thank you again for sharing. Love your videos.
Hi Kathy. Do you mean the cut size for the fabric for the bottom side of the pot holder? It is a 10" square. Hope this helps. Merry Christmas, and happy sewing. 😍
Hi Their Mom. I am using a standard size kitchen towel. I usually find these towels at Walmart, Kohls, and jcp.com. Merry Christmas, and happy sewing. 😍
Sherrill those are absolutely beautiful/ Thank you so much. I have learned so much from you! I have a question. I bought a large white mat from Joannes. I am going to put it on my dining room table to give me a larger cutting area. I just purchased it and it is rolled up. How do you get it to lay flat on the table when you unroll it. Does it just gradually flatten out with use? I used a coupon and got it for 40.00. It was 79.99. I waited for a half price one!
Hi Melissa. I lay in on the floor with books or other heavy items. Yes it will gradually flatten out. You got a great deal. Merry Christmas, and happy sewing. 😍
Should also singe the ends of the ribbon for the trim on the towel so it won't unravel. Just use a lighter and run it across quickly. Don't hold the flame, or it will burn the end, and you will have to cut it shorter and singe again
@@TheSewingRoomChannel I learned how to make these dish towels from your videos, and have made several. I used to make anlot of hairbows from ribbon, so singing them is a must.
What a nice gift set that would make! I think I will make some for next year. Can’t do any sewing right now due to a remodel project that made it necessary to dismantle my sewing area for the next several weeks. Your set is absolutely beautiful-the fabrics compliment each other so well……😊-Brenda

HI Jeanne. Add 4", and if it is too long, it is easy to trim the excess off. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching, and have a very Merry Christmas. 😍

Are you using a standard kitchen hand towel or a full sized bath towel?

I wash my cloth on a delicate cycle and don't overload it. There is hardly any raveling. Then just iron it. Much faster than zigzagging.
