Small point, any idea when the added plates on the side were introduced. I'm about to paint some up for WW2 Libyan desert and I'm not sure if I should sand them off.

Are the Plastic Soldier 20mm/ 1/72 armor models compatible with other 1/72 manufacturers such as Revell, ESCI, etc?

Yes they are, but beware the instructions are sometimes wrong (the 25 pounders for example, the straight sided carriage is the older 18 pounder design, the traversing base was carried on top of the limber, the cranked chassis is the later standard and was designed for the base to be carried on the under-side). If you have at least some idea what you are looking for and access to the internet for reference they are fine. Look for reviews, the reviewers often pick up on these errors. The prices have crept up a bit and the new range of soldiers are licence produced from a metal range, the heads are outsized so it looks like a bunch of kids on the battlefield. If offered a sprue of correct scaled heads it might help (I think HaT might have something like that in mind)

The 76mm gun and American crewman is not included.
