The Legend of Bum-bo is a puzzle based "deckbuilding roguelike" by Edmund McMillen (The Binding of isaac, Super Meat Boy) and James Interactive, where players collect hordes of items that can be modified, upgraded and comboed with others in many interesting ways. Play as one of many Bum-bo, each with its own unique abilities, as they smash, bash and splash their way through a variety of cardboard monstrosities, giant bosses and dark personal urges...

Please remove that "End Turn" Filter, where every puzzle piece turns brown, If you have a spell which can alter board state (like toothpick). This filter makes finding a right way to use such spells much harder.
UPD: NVM, found that you can just pick a spell, and then cancel it if you don't find a use for it. Thanks!
Felt the exact same way up until i realized you could cancel the spell. lmao.

Very excited for the game, thanks for the let's play! Graphics and UI look amazing, so much work went into them. I had one thought on Loaf's goo-up-the-board mechanic, if I understand it correctly: wouldn't it encourage the player to screenshot his board before every turn for optimal play? I wonder if that's what you would like to encourage or if there's an alteration to the mechanic that would work better. Like if once it goos up the piece it can be any tile at random once ungooed, but that might be too detrimental to puzzle board manipulation strats. Or it could switch tiles randomly with other gooed tiles, but that still would promote screenshotting as to quantify the exact number of which tiles were gooed. Or perhaps a better idea, gooed tiles can't be matched until ungooed, while stile being able to see what the tile is. To me that mechanic thematically feels most like what being Gooed would do: prevent actions being taken. I'm not sure if the balancing would work, it would obviously require the number of gooed tiles to be reduced. I think games like slay the spire worked well because it was always perfect information each turn, once you get into imperfect information it might promote less fun player behavior if the optimal strategy is to do uninteresting steps like screenshotting. Feels less elegant.

Will there be any bosses from Bum-bo in Repentance? Loaf makes me think of him as digested bread.
Do people who pre-order get an extra reward?
it's looks amazing, but little bug filled. Like the end of the video when, you doing 3 damage to the boss with 4 health to win.
He said something like "did I crit?" so maybe that is what the luck (clover) stat is? The first needle vs the boss did 2 when it was supposed to do 1. Maybe it's a bug, maybe it's a feature?
Also want to point out this is still the in development version that's being played.
It was probably a crit. Edmund explained the luck stat in his playthrough with the nimble.

You should change the description of the needle: by the way you wrote it looks like damage improves with each hit Bum-bo takes, which would have been a pretty shitty item to have on a character with only 2 hearts
