In the newspaper, I read that Double Taxation on DDT has been removed Previously both companies(15% DDT) and shareholders(10% DDT) had to pay it. Now, both companies and shareholders need not pay separate DDT. But individuals alone should include dividend earned in their taxable income, and pay tax for that cumulative amount. So, is it technically correct to say that DDT burden has been 'shifted' from companies to individuals?
@@thebrainhacker4486 Not even the shareholder need to pay a separate DDT now. The DDT has been removed for both company and shareholder I'm concerned with the word 'shifting responsibility' in the video. I feel it's not correct to say that the liability has been 'shifted' to shareholders
