Wow, sorry to hear that. I just ordered the M.E. Bean castings kit from Reeves 2000 and I had a few defect castings in the kit. They were superb in rectifying the situation for me. I will say, their castings seem to be sub-par when compared to Stuart's. But, so far the flywheel and bottom portion of the column have machined quite nicely. Hope you build goes well. Be sure to post progress videos for us!
I elected to build as much from bar stock as possible, things like the front axle you wouldnt make from cast iron anyhow, first time it had a heavy landing, crack. and the wheel rims better from bar stock, that said i hope they are better now as i am going to need a lot of bits off them.
Looks like a lot of work,...i certainly would not have the patience with such small bits. But looking at this video, i wonder if you may be able to identify some model engine castings i recently acquired with a job lot of machine tools. Can send you an email with pics or make a short video, whatever suits you....cheers, Mike
