I started listening to Mauri and Los Retros a year ago, i cried to his songs, i worked hard to the funky beats his music had, and i fell in love while dedicating songs he made to a girl. He absolutely changed my life and has been so humble throughout everything, i went to his concert for my birthday and he spent quite some time talking to me like if i was an old friend. He and his discography will always be cherished by me and many others
He has music running through his veins! Hopefully he’ll make it big or at least enough to have a studio just to create music 🎶

0:03 Mi nombre es Mauri. Nací en Ventura pero crecí en la ciudad de Oxnard y vivo en Colonia. Agarre mi primer guitarra cuando tenía once años, pero cuando tenía ocho, mi hermano tomó clases en la preparatoria y cuando no estaba en casa yo, tu sabes, usaba su guitarra porque si estaba ahí y me veía, uh, me pegaria.
0:45 Yo tenía un cuarto allá pero mi hermano se vino a vivir aquí y se quedo con mi cuarto. Y ahora me tengo que dormir en la sala. Algunas veces cuando estoy grabando, la gente pasa; Mi mamá trapiando y mi hermanita llorando. Tengo que parar de grabar y hacer lo otra vez.
1:17 Cuando cumpli diec y seis, agarre mi primer mixer, que fue dos años atrás. El mixer es viejo como los de los 90s. Es ese que está allá. Nosotros grabamos la música aquí. Yo me paro aquí y Jason se para allá y la batería se queda allá.
