I agree. All these foreign players aren’t playing AAU and clout chasing with social media highlights. They have junior national team, that really teach them the game. Travel Sports are so fucked up right now In every sport. It used to only be the best guys making the teams that would go around and play tournaments. Now it’s a money grab and parents of kids listen to coaches who tell them their kid is great, they just need “exposure” and to do their “training program” and a scholarship is on the way. Then parents write the check to the organization, which pays for the actual ballers on the one legit team out of ten the organization has to do the same shit. Or a bunch of rich scrubs get together, play in a bunch of expensive tournaments with nice facilities but hardly any legit competition, do well and think they’re amazing.

AAU is for getting reps, staying in shape, working on some things, highlights and having fun. Playing for your school is the real basketball that has structure and where you can actually learn how to play. One thing tho it all comes down to who you have coaching you and how they're teaching you to play most times AAU is a lot of free lance basketball. School will have the planning, plays and defensive schemes.

I don’t know where you get your information from but 92% of all players on EYBL 17u rosters have d1 offers/scholarships. There isn’t a HS league in the country with that level of competition.
AAU teams are always practicing and traveling to play the best teams. You can’t go to any HS game in America and see more scouts than you will see at any of EYBL, SSB, or UA. HS ball is becoming the extra, I’m almost at the point with my own son questioning should he just train in the winter for AAU in the spring. AAU is that much better!!!

All the nba is aau kids , all iso none of them are taught the game right , just athletes and potential. That’s why the nba competition is garbage. Take job Stockton you children think cuz he can’t dunk from the ft line or put you on skates ( then moss the shot but you dorks still storm the court ) he’s garbage. He’d dominate today’s league. “ he played against plumbers “ . What’s jokic ???
