@@marshb6996 I'm 38 and I am blessed to have seen Bird play from like 87 until he retired and Luka's game is amazingly similar to Bird in many regards and it's not just because he's white because he's European and having traveled to Europe they are nothing like white Americans. I could've compared him to LBJ but he's not that athletic so with the ability to score 25 points or more, grab 10 boards and have over 7 dimes a game while being able to score at 3 levels, make difficult shots, circus shots and simply having a higher IQ that allows you to be crafty and super dominant without relying on a lot of athleticism all while being sneaky athletic, then hell yeah he is Bird-like! Lol There's nobody else to compre him to at his size. Bird was 6'9 and I think Luka is listed at 6'8.

Watching Luka and Kristaps play together is magic. One one hand you have the volume shooting 15/45 shooting of Westbrook and Harden along with the flopping and lack of defense. On the other hand you have two guys who give it their all on both sides of the court, are looking for the assist, and take makeable shots. Luka is also clutch! I feel like the me ball of Harden and Westbrook is killing the NBA whereas players like Luka are making it exciting again. Notice Luka's step back. No doubts of traveling. When he shoots, he doesn't launch 5 feet forward into people. He plays the game the way it should be played.
Luka is already a top 5 player in his 2nd year in the league. May God have mercy on the NBA.
