Vinny - Mmm.. yes.. I'm drinking delicious mineral water from the Italian alps from a nicely carved crystal tumbler, just the right weight..I like a decent glass..Don't suppose he has one with him there..in the desert..

Imagine using a fucking Mac when you're in the middle of the Sahara.. When I crossed 320km of the Dasht-e Lut in Iran back in 2018, I had my 2011 Lenovo ThinkPad X220 with Windows 10. The thing is a beast, and survived 100kph+ sand storms and sub zero nights..

Why did you cross if you don’t mind me asking? I’m thinking of doing a solo cross across the Sahara desert.

If this is the same incident as in his book its much different than what I read. . In the book he had his friends from the UK with him and he said he discovered the water in the mountains.....wondering on the differences ?

You would have to be religious in a place like that or what would be the point??? Not like life for them has any pleasures or comfort to offer.
