Is the landscape shown somewhere near to Quoys, which is a few km from Saxaford? In 1982, the Liston family lived in Quoys, operating the most northern Bed&Breakfast in UK. I visited them on a bike tour from Munich in Bavaria to Shetland and back. Tony Liston used to work on the shuttle helicopters to the oil platforms. A later visit failed because he was killed in that helicopter crash in 1986-11-06 near Sumburgh, the largest civilian helicoptercrash in history. The Listons then moved to South England, and it could be that their home on Unst is now in ruins. Tony Liston was interested in astronomy, but he never knew that there was a spaceport being built on Unst. Whether or not I myself will ever see Quoys again I cannot say.
In 1982, there had been a local postoffice in Haroldswick. In 1993, there wasn't anymore - the lady which run the post office had died. Now, as Saxa Vord has been choosen as the site for a spaceport, methinks that there should be a real post office. Also, a few more local bus stopps should have their own website ...
Awww, how lovely, we lived there at that time. Happiest carefree days of childhood xxx
