  • I continued my journey across Shetland, heading north towards the islands of Yell and Unst, learning a little bit about the local flora, fauna and rich history with its Scandinavian influences. After reaching the northernmost point of the UK in the Hermaness National Nature Reserve, I made my way back to Lerwick to grab the ferry back to Aberdeen. It turned out to be ferry ride I will never forget.

Esha Ness is something else. standing near the cliff edge in a gale as 60ft waves fire big rocks and sea life at you makes you feel alive

I had the good fortune of visiting the Shetland Islands and the weather was very pleasant for the seven days I was there in the month of September a couple of years before the Pandemic the sea trips both ways quite calm , and a marvelous destination but too make the most of your visit is to have your own transport

I agree, we took our car. Otherwise you would spend most of the day waiting for a bus, if there is one of course.

The most northerly point is the " Outstack". Small rock seen to the far right at 23.00 of Muckle Flugga.
Hi to all my many family up north.

A fab video! I think the reason there is no wood is because the Viking’s felled it all for timber 😂 thanks for taking me to Shetland!
