I used to hate the half_ _ _ cleaned kitchen. I finally decided it was still some work I didn't have to do & accepted it with thank-you. Since a stroke a few years ago he loves to care for me. I truly thank him every time. He loves lots. We've been married 40 years. Just remember the love... The petty things don't matter in the long run. Hugs!!
Oh, you love birds have do much fun together, each having your own passion, and at the same tme giving and taking a little, it's great that no one is an Islande, if that makes sense ?
You are such a great woman! Your daughter are lucky to have a mother like you, the things you will teach in a childs life, your children will be natural contributors to society. You Husband is so lucky to have a wife like you as well, your not only gorgeous but your tough as hell ( Mentally, emotionally, physically ). Dont get rid of your sheep, I see it gives you purpose, and there is purpose in what you are doing with the Sheep!
I can tell that you are both incredibly comfortable with the faults either of you may have and part of that is what I think makes your marriage so strong. Also although you both share responsibilities in parts of the farm, each of you have your own distinct domains that you manage. This helps I think and is important in a marriage, because each of you for the most part have defined roles in your lives.
Agreeing to disagree on some of the things, is essential! It’s nice that you both get to have your own dream, but you can count on each other when you need help. I love seeing the two of you interacting with each other. I also love watching your hubby being a great dad! More Mark !More Mark! More Mark!
Found this and I'm in love with your babies!! My aunt and uncle raise Suffolks (sp?) and southdowns for 40 years and I spent alot of time there as a child and loved helping my uncle ❤ 🐑
As someone who owns a farm and raises beef cattle upstate New York and has a full-time job down in the city I do as much as I can on the weekends during the spring summer and fall months. I can assure you there is more than enough of work to go around maintaining fences overgrown brush downed trees extra. There's only so much you can do by yourself. Having someone around helping is essential and more than welcome
Oh my god, me too with the control issues! And so funny about him watching later to find out how you do things. HA! - I started watching in December and subscribed. Congrats on 100,000! (now at 103k!)
Oh my gosh! I can so relate to this marriage phenomenon. I don't farm, but my husband and I are apart more of the time than we are together. When he comes back, it's all the paperwork and tasks I "broke" by mishandling (or failing to handle). He comes in and fixes everything. I have just learned to accept that our strengths are in completely different areas, and that we actually compliment each other. Rocky said it to Adrienne: "you've got gaps. I've got gaps. Together we fill gaps." (You have to read that in your best, deep, slow Rocky Balboa voice for maximum impact.) I struggle to just feel gratitude, but not inferiority. And to remember to be extra patient with the areas I excel in and he falls short. That's what the best marriages are made of, right?
It is so good that you have this vlogging way to reflect and become self-aware. I learned it too through Al-Anon and journaling. Now I have you to watch and listen to! I am a sheep-freak who had to choose another way of life. I chose him!
It is so beautiful to see that even if you are your own boss in your own field. You still help out each other in the other field. Try not to get frustrated my dear. It doesn't pay of. Be glad and happy that he does care to help you out once in a while. You are a beautiful strong lady. Love you both. 💜💚💜
That's probably why she told him how she likes the dirty straw picked up. She was watching him do it (and she was doing all the hard part/shoveling) and he made a comment about using a pitchfork which also probably made her mad (cause it's her domain).
Mark FYI helping your wife isnt a present its a trade off for the next time you need her help, so I hope you got her something nice for Valentines day and that Sandi got you something nice for Valentines day!
lol. I have control issues over my portion of my farm and my husband wanted to have control over everything. Not a good thing because it makes you feel useless which I refused to feel so it didn't work out at all. However, the farm was and is still a family farm but I just happen to own it. So, I'm good. I understand where you guys are coming from and I see why it works and that's wonderful. It takes a strong man to handle a strong woman right.
I feel for you. When you’ve got a system that works, it’s really, really, really hard to see someone do it less efficiently. Oh my how hard it is to keep my mouth shut, my tongue bleeds a lot, lol.
You know what the old timer married farming couples say, "If you don't argue; there's no love there". All married couples argue or at least heatedly discuss; communication is key! Hey, you love each other; great job!
Ive NEVER LAUGHED like I did with This Video. My hubby and I just had our 45 Anniversary. But, I Can CONNECT with what you are saying. He Has HIS WAY and I Have MY WAY 🤣😂🤣😂
Sandi you are brave one to be soo open with your reality. Now if I may be so daring as to suggest that you put a 2"x12" boards on the outside of your metal fence poles in the barn that would make your clean up MUCH easier and faster, Just suggesting.
Oh interesting! So along the bunks where those metal posts are? Never thought of that!! and it would keep me from hitting them and knocking the bunks out of line!!
Hello Sandi & Mark , I miss working the farm but just remember to work smarter not harder if it is easier for one person to do with less sheep then do that it will make it easier on the pockets book and your anxiety will not be as bad but all in all your doing very well so smile and be happy you achieved a lot . Patricia from Nebraska
Actually studies show farmers spend less time with there spouse than say a factory workers. You are together but always working. Someone work's an 8 hour day can at the end spend quality time with there family plus there weekend. Ask a factory worker what he did over the weekend and think what you do over the weekend

we our starting a UA-cam channel and starting our homestead. My bride and I are bottle feeding a baby calf. The kids love it. Thanks for the vids. Keep them coming.
I know she has a couple videos about feed, and they use the sheep manure on their own fields as fertilizer. She has several videos on sorting/shipping market lambs. One even shows an app on what prices the lambs are going for. But it doesn't show the actual selling process... Just go on her channel and search it...
Hey its good to see that at least you are doing it together. My wife wouldn't help at all. A couple near me, both vets use to farm together, it would get so bad that they would literally throw pitch forks at each other. Needless to say they are divorced not. Your doing good. God bless.
You are a sweet and beautiful couple, don’t have a doubt about it. Only that when life is running too smoothly, some ppl take it as boring, and start taking our nearest and dearest ppl for granted. Happy Valentine’s Day to both of you.🌹🌷🌹🌷

Nice job!! Even though help is appreciated, it is very difficult to have somebody do the things you do everyday and go outside of your process, very difficult 😡 lol.
This video is awesome! Reminds me of chopping corn silage with the hubby. I chopped and he ran loads. If we were still talking after we were done, it was a good harvest! Lol!

You are my hero!!! You make it look easy but I know better. I live on a farm in Nebraska, USA. It's in the middle of country.
We grow row crops and typically have cattle.
Good job working with husband.
Men always think the way that they do things is the best way. Usually best to say nothing( if u can hold it) and do it urself.

did they spread all that grass on the concrete to protect the sheep from the cold?
We use straw as bedding. It keeps the sheep comfortable, and yes warm and nested.
