Another great video! Emily’s instructions were very clear, and the v/o was very helpful and well done. I liked Amanda pointing out that anytime divers are near the boat the motor should be in neutral!
I have to comment on the super fancy sunglasses that Capt Emily is wearing they complement her blouse perfectly. Great job, very interesting and lots of positive information on catching lobsters.
Great Video on teaching how to catch and gauge for lobster in Florida. You two always make great and informative content. If I may reinforce what you said on the use of weight belts. Weight belts are used to make you neutral buoyant (you neither sink or float) at the depth you are diving to, not to help you get to the bottom. Proper surface diving technique will get you to 30 feet / 10 meters deep without even kicking. Even if you are wearing a wetsuit. Please realize that THE most common cause of diver rescue and death is by people overweighing themselves. As a lifeguard, freediver, spearfisherman and Scuba instructor, I have had my fair share of rescues due to people being overweighted, many of them were close calls. If you are thinking of using a weight belt to help you in snorkeling and freediving, I would suggest getting formal training from one of the many certification agencies out there (NAUI, SSI, NASDS, PADI, CMAS, PFI, FII, etc.). You will also learn a lot more than just about how to properly weigh yourself for snorkeling or freediving. You will also learn things to help you dive deeper, how to hold your breath properly, how to hold your breath longer, proper swimming technique, as well as how to rescue your buddy if they are overweighted or pass out from staying too long on the bottom. Just one last thing to consider, those who spearfish will often change the amount of weight on their weight belts during the day, in order to make allowance for the depths they are diving to. Dive often and Dive Safe
Brook Crist sells these clear lobster nets and tickle sticks that the lobsters can’t see. Y’all might check her site. I have absolutely nothing to do with it at all just seen her and the family using them. Anyway I always enjoy you two and your adventures.
It sure seems like our ladies no what they are doing . If we pay attention so will we and I like that. As always I enjoy these videos and I hope we can continue to watch them . I enjoy ladies that love the outdoors and Gayle force twins sure fit the bill. There smart , athletic and like what they do !!! Hard to beat this combo to watch so I will keep enjoying the pair !!!!!
When catching those lobsters what depth are you at? I want to buy a Blu3 Nemo with a 10’ hose and want to know if this would work for catching lobsters and scallops.
Not tentacles its antennas, lmao... octopuses have tentacles, duh...lol Good job with the catch size limit.. This is exactly why Oahu, Honolulu Hawaii don't have lobsters because there's a lot of people that come from outer pacific Islands and literally raid our reefs and literally leave nothing to chance taking the females and small undersized lobsters 🦞 😒...
Weights are mandatory in my opinion. Anyone that has tried to dive 10 feet or deeper without them will attest to the major struggle it becomes trying to et down and swim. You need neutral buoyancy which will conserve energy and allow a more comfortable dive down and back up. Always advisable to learn how to use a weight belt it will make your fishing adventure so much more enjoyable.
Man.... I hope my daughter grows up to be like these awesome ladies. I had the pleasure of meeting them at the FTL boat show. Pure class.
Well done video. Emily simulating the lobster antenna with her fingers was priceless.
Your videos just make me happy. Such good, joyful energy. Thank you!

another safety thing about a weight belt is always has a right-hand release on the belt
A good time to explain what to do as another boat comes apon you in the water.?
How many feet down y’all diving for them
Cool video but In San Diego California you can only use your hands to catch Lobsters while diving
Antenna not tentacles😃
I used to lobster dive in Massachusetts in my 20s and am jelly with how you get unarmed Spiny bugs in shallow clear calm water!

Would like to see more of Gale Force Mom. Is there a Gale force Dad in the picture? Asking for a friend. 😁
I think lobsters have antennae not tentacles, just saying....
We didn’t see Gale Force mom!
Bummer
WHY didn’t you clean the lobster for us on camera ???? PLEASE start cleaning your fish and lobsters on camera !!!! 🙏
Try searching their videos. I believe they’ve done a couple of catch, clean, and cook lobster videos.
Where was gf mom??
The tickle stick looks like a big piece of placenta
Might want to remind us rookies that you need a dive flag. I've learned those fish and wildlife guys have no sense of humor.
