  • Language translation is more art than science. Different translators have varied opinions of words and their meaning. For our interview with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, we used the services of three, independent, interpreters of the Ukrainian language. The first translation occurred in the moment, simultaneously, during the interview. Later, a second translator watched the entire interview on video and translated Ukrainian to English verbatim. In the final editing process, a third translator sat with us and verified the edits that are always necessary for clarity and concision. At some points in our story, when phrases in English and Ukrainian did not match each other in length, we made the best effort possible to convey Mr. Zelenskyy's comments with precision and context. As a service to Ukrainian speakers, we are posting the hour-long, April 7th interview in its entirety. Our report with English translation can be found here: • Volodymyr Zelenskyy: T...

It would be nice if there were translations in various languages for those of us don’t speak Ukrainian but want to hear what he is saying.

Dear 60 Minutes, Can you put subtitles in this video? I want to watch the whole thing, not just the half hour English version. Thank you for your work.

I have come to respect this man more than any other leader in my 6 1/2 decades on this planet. Not just as a leader but as a human being. I have been following him everywhere since day one and I’ve listened to everyone of his pleas.

Will you translate the full interview? I watched the translated one earlier, now watching the full one and there's a lot more in the full one, especially emotionally. I my self understand Ukrainian (though not fully) but there are people who don't. And this is something that would be good to hear to every person.

If you've had three translators work on this, could you please make subtitles available? Millions of people around the globe who don't speak Ukranian would appreciate it!

In Ethiopia there is an active war going on for 4 years now, more than 1/2 million people have died, the wars were started by Abiy Ahmed who the west gave Nobel peace prize in 2019. He is using famine as a weapon of war. The worst war is in Ethiopia were his troops burned a civilian alive. any coverage please?

I really admire this guy.. I like how he don’t sugar coat and how he’s honest. He’s so desperate to save his people and his country , look at how he aged in a month. He’s right, this isn’t a time for bureaucracy… thanks 60min Australia for covering this and for allowing comments .

CBS, this interview has a lot of depth that your regular broadcast doesn't. Please post English subtitles so English speakers can take part. Ukrainian isn't that hard of a language that you can't find anyone to do that, surely!

This interview is 59 minutes long, the English translation only 27. Please provide us with a translated version of the whole interview. When the leader of the free world gives the US press an hour of his time, I’d really like to know what he said.
