It's been a while since I've done a cut crease tutorial for hooded eyes! I think it's so interesting how the trends have kind of switched in the East and West...? I think American makeup trends are more focused on the natural effortless look (which used to be the thing in Asia), while Asian makeup trends are now heavier (cut crease, lots of glitter, etc.)...or maybe this is just what the Tik Tok algorithm has been feeding me.. 🤔 But my fav thing abt #douyin makeup is the super precise look; the lines aren't very diffused and are intentionally left very sharp-it's just so satisfying to look at! Why don't you just label it as chinese makeup?
This is a good “how to look like me” kind of makeup video where it looks nice on you, but not very helpful to the masses; a good makeup artist would explain, “what would you do if you don’t have double eyelid?” So how would you do a cut crease on someone who doesn’t have double eyelid cuz your method of blinking and put the cut crease wouldn’t be helpful to those without double eyelid. Also, how would someone bring out the inner corner of the eye if they have a fold there? These are techniques that a good makeup artist would point out and would be able to do on anyone’s face, but just for a pretty video, this is not bad, just that you r explaining this that works for you, not for the masses
