So sad
Fr honestly I’d say this is the best rockstar game, bully was my favourite but this just about beats it honestly.
I don't know between this and Bully I'd say they are both equally as underappreciated-but what you can't underappreciate is how stellar this soundtrack is.

This game is so underrated it's insane even thinking about it. So much effort, time and money was put into making this, in fact it's a video gaming innovation. For me this is one of the very few games that can entertain and educate at the same time. Such a shame it was forgotten. Hopefully someone picks up the concept of this game and either make a new one game with a different setting or continue LA Noire. RIP Phelps, Badge #1247.
perhaps people thought it was a bit too difficult and complicated
Way too expensive and difficult to make a game like this. That's why most companies stick to rehashing the old formula for some ez money. This game is a criminally underrated cult classic masterpiece , and i'm kinda sad right now as i realise there's probably a slim chance i will experience something like this again.
Totally agree, such a great game, I could play it until now if the story wouldn't end, a true masterpiece by R* Games ... wish there was some kind of sequel
@Mishel Alen; There was, supposed to be. It's called 'Whore of the Orient'. Though it's not a direct sequel (setting is in China), it would have formulated the same gameplay mechanics as LA Noire. Too bad it was cancelled though, such a shame. This is the kind of game that gamers, casual and hardcore should be playing instead of mindless shooters and too much horror. Here's the link. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whore_of_the_Orient
I loved it. Being also a big fan of noir movies and John Noble, everything in that videogame was on point. The atmosphere was godlike... I mean, no game reached that "reality" of rappresentation of something (if you compare it to similar games like the Mafia series). Truly a joy to play even if it was less about the gameplay and more about the story and your choices.

In my opinion, LA Noire has the best ambientation ever seen in a game... by far. I really felt how was living in the 40s while playing this, never got that sensation of imersion in any other game. Truly a history class in a very charming and fun way.
There probably won't be a game like L,A noire for this same reason. First, they put all of their hearts into this. And by that i mean crunching, mistreats, firing and inner problems all around. But even then, we now know that all of that pain, blood and tears plus the money that went into making this amazing experience made Team Bondi close their doors. For the videogame industry it's just not worth the risk. Second, they don't need to. Pay to win, generic shooters/open worlds and rpgs are taking over the market now. They are sitting so comfortable we will probably never see a game like this again

Best and one of the most mature game OST's I've heard thus far. This deserves much praise from musicians, gamers, and non-musicians.
Very true, but don't forget Amon Tobins excellent work on "splinter cell" too.
people should say "thus" a lot more
@@sweetnuthin ahh grammar nazi we do get what he's tryna say man
@@ryusbubbles5236 uhh no, I was congratulating them on saying the word "thus" because it's a fun word lol, don't be so defensive
True, their names after the sequences they appear in and the way they're not afraid to contrast wildly with the last song while still maintaining an overall identity reminds me of actual movie OSTs like Chinatown or Taxi Driver. Such a shame they didn't implement it that well in the game and the mysterious songs you barely get to hear get opaqued by those annoying loud generic trumpets you hear everytime you mak a destination on your notebook
I hate to admit this but sometimes at night, my dog & I listen to this soundtrack and look out the window of our apartment and just watch traffic, talk to each other and often share a meal. I just hope there will be a sequel for LA noire and every time I listen to this music is like bringing us back to the great 40’s

Hope you've enjoyed the remaster 😅😊
The intro of “A New Beginning pt. 1” reminds me a lot of the main theme of Taxi Driver. What a fantastic soundtrack for this outstanding game!!!
Hey, i thought i was the only one who noticed that! I'm pretty sure it was intentional, much like the main theme/Main theme redux reminds me of Chinatown's love theme; This takes a lot of clues from 70's movies music
I thought the same too, Taxi Driver has such a wonderful soundtrack!
It was great time My childhood😭
You just helped me complete my history paper. Nothing is better than waking up in the middle of the night remembering you have a paper due the next morning which you forgot to work on. History 273 "An American Experience in Vietnam: 1945 to 1975" 4 and 1/2 page paper on the nationalistic views of the North and South Vietnamese, time 2 and 1/2 hours. This soundtrack actually helped me focus on my writing. Thank you.
Wow! That's very nice to hear, hope everything went well and you completed your history paper in the way you want! :)
But also give thanks to Andrew Hale und Simon Hale for composing this relaxing soundtrack!
JepedilloOSTs You bet! I love the soundtrack. I often find myself humming it when the day is slow. I love Claudia Brücken's work along with The Real Tuesday Weld, such a great pair.
JepedilloOSTs would also like to state this soundtrack is always in the background when I need to knuckle down and write my law finals at university.
It worked! I got a 49/50. Not perfect but I made one slip. I must have been typing too fast and typed "fist" instead of "first". Oh well, still a great score. Now I have to write and English paper on education and study for an anthropology mid-term. Thankfully I have spring break next week. I need it.
Thorsten Schäfer :O wow...! 49/50 that's, I think, totally awesome and I wish you the same for your next paper.
Greetings Jepedillo

Thanks for uploading it! Much appreciated!
You're welcome! :)
this is probably the best jazz i've ever heard in my life
This, I don't even like jazz and I'm in love with the soundtrack
Such good music. La Noire is probably one of the most underrated games ever made.
There is something about the movie soundtracks to old B/W films that just hits you. Reminds me of the theme music from On The Waterfront, the old Marlon Brando picture that takes place around ir close the same time as LA Noire. One of best games out there that no one talks about. Makes me wish that Rockstar games made another game that took place in this time period. Post WWII and the early 50's was one of the best times in the United States. Far better than what is going on in 2023.
Jazz of the Night, mixed feelings, sleepy lights, forgotten corners, quiet sounds, distant memories that tear my heart.
38:25
Ohh man. That hard bass dropping in, it needs to be my walk up music for when I'm doing something cool.
Shits bout to go down
This soundtrack so perfectly captures a mood. I agree with another comment that it surpasses a lot of film soundtracks.
As much as I love this game and consider it a masterpiece, the music score is absolutely brilliant, they completely nailed the Noir sound, New Beginnings 1 is so beautiful and probably my favorite
Definitely my favorite!
I got the Complete Edition after beating the normal one.
One word to describe it: masterpiece.
I've been looking around for complete edition for xbox 360! Never played it but always wanted to.
I totally agree ! I finished the normal game, and enjoyed it so much that I bought the complete edition and started all over again. A real masterpiece, you're right ! Hope they will make a sequel in the same spirit
It is nice to realize that there are more gamers getting the complete edition.
Nicholesen Electroplating is worth it!
4 years ago, I completed this masterpiece. Oh god, what a game, my fave to date, and I've played a lot over the years, I'm dying for a sequel!
about re play the game, literally played it when i was 13 now 23 beat it 4 times, i think a 5th would do some magic on this game.. brings back so many memories.
i enjoyed this game, but the soundtrack was the best thing about it. and by that i mean this is better than the majority of film scores. honestly. it just is. if this was in a film it would win the score oscar hands down.
Just replayed this again and I cannot believe it came out a decade ago. Very few games to date ever made such an impression LAN ever did. Holds a very special place in my heart.
It easily enters the top 5 in the list of underrated games.
The game was a most compelling and riveting experience. Much like a good book I couldn’t put the controller down.

I loved everything about this game, well almost. The music was A1, the cast...oh the cast of madmen which I was loving appearing in the game, the story... the newspapers you had to pick up to get the back ground. Man, so much of this game was so amazing. I'd love another one. And of course LA was magnificent in the game too.
Such nostalgia. I grew up in Limerick Ireland, with a similar grid system on the roads, similar buildings and businesses that existed into the 80's and 90's. I felt a deep connection.
Game is really good, however, the soundtrack alone is just leagues above! The sound designers and producers deserve full credit! I can listen to this when studying, driving or gaming.
The game is very innovative too. It wasn't all about shooting people, but questioning, clues, drama and facial expressions. I'd have to say that the graphics are exemplary - especially for a game that was made 9 YEARS ago!! The facial expressions are what gives one the 'hunch' (intuition) when questioning. Also, play it on PC just purely for the graphics (though the xbox controller makes it hella easier for gameplay experience).
it's probably one of the first adult games that isn't just about violence. I mean sure there is violence and swearing but the reason it isn't a kids game is the deep thought that it takes and the processes you have to go through to play the game properly
Thanks so much for uploading this. I absolutely loved this game, but I love its soundtrack even more. Pure passion.
Thanks! :D
Any idea if a part 2 of this game is gonna come out ? :)

You can accuse a 14 year old girl who was just raped of being a goddamned liar. 10/10
That was actually the correct option in one of the questions, wasn't it?
She was withholding information about her night. She was trying to hide the fact that she was raped/molested; part of it out of shame as she did run away from home for acting, part of it was that she getting roles from this director thru sex.
Just so no one gets the idea that a 14 year old girl was lying about being raped.
This game was phenomenal RIP Team Bondai. Supposedly there's a Blade-Runner like game that plays like L.A. Black
Yes, but i was talking about diffirent question. The one in wich Cole confronts her about wheter she has her parents consent in her being in L.A. She said that she does, but Cole calls a lie with a letter from mother as proof.

The developers of this beautiful game closed the company for some reason, what a shame.
Ah, I didn't know that. That's such a shame. They probably were failing in sales. I don't think their PS4 game did too great but not sure.
