Oh my GOD, you're a good teacher, this is the best well explained video I watched on fixing of elastic waist band. GOD Bless you ma, am subscribing now.
Nice tutorial ma . Let’s say i add 9 inch to my original waist measurement… what length of elastic should I add should I use ? I’ll appreciate your response
@mzfiney4463 for the elastic band,it also depends on how snatched you want it to be. Try using between 51/2 to 6 inches. The thing with sewing, is that you keep trying which works better for you. So if 51/2 or 6 inches will be abit loose, then you can try using 5inches. Hope this helps?
There are 2 ways you can fix your zip. First method is if you want to use a hook and eye, you should fix the zipper before the band. Second method is if you aren't going to use hook and eye, you would fix your zip after you must have attached the band. Hope thie explanation helps???
@Zubaidah-232 you can make the width of the band to be 4", when you add your interface and fold into two, it will be 2". Then when you sew with half inch you should have 1 and half inches left.
@Ijeoma Ogbuji you can make use of the hip circumference on the waist or just add about 8"-9" to the waist circumference if you want to make use of a side elastic band.
@@ijeomaogbuji1493 do you mean how many inches on the waist itself(fabric) or how many inches elastic band you are to use?? If it's on your fabric add 8 inches or 9inches to the waist circumference
