Like we mentioned in the video, the Times Square area in Manhattan is THE place to stay a couple days before your cruise. The famous sights to see and places to go are literally endless! SEE YOU THERE!
Thanks if you have any tips or on Boston, we're staying couple of day in Boston and end in Quebec Canada. I was happy to hear that you mentioned that there was things to do and get around in ports, as Canadians traveling in USA we have to pay 38 cent on the dollar, so reason Didn't book any or Princesses side cruises. Glad your site is monetized, you deserve it - HOORAY! 🤩 Jollean, the travel queen
@@JolleanMcFarlen we went to the Boston Tea Party museum. A 30 minute walk from the pier. It was on the pricey side: $40 per person, however that is definitely cheaper than most excursions. It was a fun museum and there were lots of restaurants and shops nearby.
As a young sailor in the late 1960s, I could not afford some of the fancy places you mentioned. However, hundreds of diners serve everyday common food, blue-collar style, if you will, so you will never go hungry in NYC. I once hitched-hiked from the northmost end of Long Island into the heart of the city and never went hungry. Larry from Texas
@@LarryLMelton times have changed so much even since I’ve lived here in the 90’s. A “cheap” diner salad will run you over $20 these days and hot dogs from street vendors go for $10. Everything is so expensive!
@@laurieGaryCruise Wow! I suppose to live in New York you have to love the city, live in the suburbs, have a really nice paying job, or be a government official. We won't discuss illegals; that's a totally different subject. I enjoyed my visits there, but I could not afford to live there on my salary. I mean, $400 for a Broadway play. We are not even talking about the taxes. If you can afford to live in NYC, they have amenities in the city not found anywhere else. I understand the allure; I just think it is overpriced, and perhaps that allure is becoming a bit jaded. Larry from Texas

We walked thru hell kitchen to the tour docks in 2017 with no problem, but you couldnt do that in the 70's and i dont know about now but it was a very convenient way to the water from times square. The hotel we stayed was the Algonquin.
@@laurieGaryCruise very nice but the blue bar seemed to want to push expensive drinks on us, we just politely said no thanks, there were 6 of us. Beautiful hotel recommended by a friend who traveled extensively and stayed there.
@@khasteel7012 most Broadway shows (other than the Lincoln Theatre) are all in the midtown/Times Square area. That would be 42nd St-57th st. between 6th Ave. and 8th Ave. That’s where the Broadway “houses” are hence Broadway shows. That happens to be a bit over a mile from the World Trade Center but by subway you would take the 2/3 to 42nd and be there in less than 5.
