And then provide evidence that it's the Christian god. And then provide evidence that it's their version (out of the 30,000 or so versions) of the Christian god. I'm joking, of course. They'll *never* get past your first step. No need to worry about the two subsequent steps.
If we want to share our faith with someone like an Athiest, don't use the Bible straight up. I mean, they don't believe in it. Start with the example of the Universe and cause and effect. The Big Bang says the Universe exploded into existence. However, I personally don't know the cause. However (now mentioning this so soon may be bad lol) the Bible said at one point literally nothing existed. So if we go by that then an "explosion" wasn't possible. But ya, that's not good to use as an example first. So the Universe is made up of time, energy, and space. So if something were to be the cause of the Universe, it needs to be greater than all those things. Meaning it needs to be infinite, immortal, and completely powerful. (Fits all Christian perceptions of God if you ask me. I mean, omnicient, omnipresent, and omnipotent.) And since we know the universe is expanding and that it's running out of energy, it'll result in the heat death. (Sounds like God's Armageddon as well.) And all these things like the scientific theories of the universe were discovered not that long ago. And the Bible has existed since the beginning of time if you read Genesis 1:1. And in the Bible it says before Armageddon people will be traveling all around the world easily. Sounds like the present huh? So my point is, the Bible has predicted events in the future. How? Well God is supposed to be omnicient right? I mean if we go by what I said about him being scienfically creating the universe, and having a plan in place for its end already, then of course he'll know what'll happen these days if he's really omnicient. So to sum that up, the Universe is made of time, energy, and space. God is omnicient, omnipotent, and omnipresent. Scientists didn't know all that stuff about the universe till like the 1700's or so. However the Bible has been around since forever, and all the stuff I've talked about has been common knowledge. Maybe people didn't understand it, but it definitely did exist while scientists were discovering quantom theory and all that. So the Bible knew ages ago what was discovered a few centuries ago, and by the logic of cause and effect (one of the simplest scientific terms) the Universe points to God's existence. So the Athiest belief that there is no God is proven blasphemy just by my description of the universe and cause and effect. I learned all this by going to an "Introduction to Apologetics" class. Just one. Never been before, but I'm Definitely going again. Because honestly, I probably could have been shaken by yall Athiests "logic" just like the 80% of Christian youth who have given up on Christianity by the time they're in college. But thanks to the class I went to, I now have scientific evidence, and a better understanding of God. And that was only one class. I'm also not sure I explained any of that as well as the guy teaching me did, but I tried. So I hope this answered any questions or doubts. If it didn't, I'd appreciate you giving me a question, and giving me time to learn more about it since I'm not very knowledgeable about this stuff yet, but I'd like to tackle it. Thanks :D
@@bluejacket4429 Full points for realizing the Bible alone isn't going to cut it. "The Bible is true because the Bible says the Bible is true" is circular reasoning. In any case, the same reasoning "proves" the Quran is true. And the Avesta. And the Rig Veda. And several works of fiction by HG Wells all proclaiming themselves to be true accounts of actual events. Here's what will convince atheists: objectively-verifiable *evidence.* That's all it would take. And it's something that no religion has.
@@bdf2718 Alright, I appreciate your feedback! Although I'm still going to research some of what you said and take your questions to my class. But yeah, I didn't really explain it very well after reading over it, you're right.
@NexusGen Inc. Ngl that was confusing lol As I said I don't know everything I really need to know, but as an aspiring apologetic I guess I has to try :P Nevertheless thanks for pointing out some flaws in that! (Not even sure if you did cause my scientific knowledge is pretty off in a lot of areas and I haven't learned much of that outside my apologetics class xD)
The gospel is the gospel of the kingdom! Jesus is going to return and set up the kingdom of God ON THE EARTH! God’s government ON THE EARTH! The Messiah died for his people! God resurrected the Messiah! The Messiah will resurrect his people at his coming! The destiny of the Messiah and his people is to be ON THE EARTH! The renewed restored earth! God also dwelling with them! Rev 21 Matt 24 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. Jesus said the Father is the only true God! John 17 3 And this is eternal life, that they know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.
There's only one question dude... WHERE IS YOUR EVIDENCE? We don't care about your gospel, we don't care about your "central question", we just want you to show evidence for your god-claim. Yet you want to lie for jesus; in direct contradiction to your claim you refuse to answer the actual question, and instead want to decide what they _should_ have as a central question that's convenient to you. And you wonder why no-one takes you serious...
Communicate the gospel??
Start at the beginning.
Provide EVIDENCE that a god exists.
And then provide evidence that it's the Christian god. And then provide evidence that it's their version (out of the 30,000 or so versions) of the Christian god.
I'm joking, of course. They'll *never* get past your first step. No need to worry about the two subsequent steps.
