After rewatching it, i just realized that gaara had a better character development than sasuke ever had, running around the entire series like a headless chicken with no clear destination and had a mid character development. Even itachis character was well written compared to him

He was either being used or led by somebody. 1st he was being led and blinded by his hatred towards his brother itachi, once he killed him he began questioning what his purpose will be. 2nd obito saw it as an opportunity and used him for the akatsuki's plan. 3rd he finally understood why his brother sacrificed everything for the village and began contemplating his own actions, then again following his brother he thought being the hokage is the solution for all of it. 4th he lost his duel againts naruto for the seat of the hokage and settled as the backbone of the vilage just like Madara and Danzo was. The guy clearly had no mind of his own the entire series he is being led till the end

He got everything he loved stolen from him and after being lost in the chaos found revenge to be the best course of action. In his own words leaving behind his own will was worth obtaining his goal. So even if he was following others if it meant power it was worth it. Which is still his very own choice and a choice all too many of us choose. Itachi eventually was shown to Saskue to had not killed his clan wantingly showing that he was actually very similar to Saskue. So Saskue kept at following others after his brother was dead by joining the akastki too enact revenge on the leaf. Then after saving the world because he made the choice to help since he talked with the past kage on what makes things right he decides that he must change the world his own way since he actually felt there ways failed. He only even follows in Naruto foot steps in the end because while he was going down the dark path. Making all these decisions on revenge on his own want even though everyone told him it was not good he still cut ties because it was his very own personal pain he wanted to relieve to his best way seen. But Naruto didn't ever stop fighting for him, never stopped forgiving, and ultimately pulled him out of the hate by showing him that even though you get lost in these bad feelings that there should always be someone there to help pull you out. Which makes Saskue make his final character decision to help others escape that darkness like Naruto so they don't have to see, feel, contemplate, or want to do the things he did. So yes others greatly affected him and he barely made his own decisions on face value but deep inside he was always making his own show and if him almost taking over the world doesn't show that then idk what can.

Well people talk and convince each other sometimes... what a cheap and bad narrative solution. Gaara needed as speech to motivate people and he did that to unite people as he and Naruto did. Naruto confronted Zabusa when he was already going to be defeated and he discovered his true colors. I would say Naruto convincing Obito is honestly the only time I would criticize this confrontation thing because it was completely out of place and it doesn’t make any sense for Naruto to connect with Obito nor it does for Obito to listen or really care about Naruto’s ideas. They are strangers and Kakashi isn’t remotely as important as a link as Jiraya was between Naruto and Nagito. Honestly the “talk no jutsu” criticism is very often just out of place considering there wasn’t a single time Naruto ever solved something by just talking and the talking goes only in specific times, mostly appropriate.

He's done a plethora of voice acting and directing for anime and Games for ages. I think he helped direct Resident Evil 6 as well. Im a big Dnd fan so I started connecting his characters with his voice after a lot of Critical Role.

This is the very reason why I would like World Leaders to watch Naruto. It's philosophy about conflicts, the hatred, the reciprocal understanding, and most of all, the concept of Universal Peace fought by the different protagonists and villains in different ways cannot be archived by anything else I know. There's Naruto, Nagato, Sasuke and Itachi, Madara, Obito and all the others... each of them was an unique character with unique thoughts about "peace", and good or bad, everyone of them had a deep reason to fought for that. And if you are profound enought to understand them all, you will end up to really be a saviour of the World, no matter little or big. After all we are little tears in an ocean, but that same ocean is made by these tears.

Sasuke had the literal best character development Naruto would ever have. Sasuke responds in a realistic, yet unique way to each encounter with important people. He acts in a way that's perfectly coherent with his premise.
Been a while since I've watched any Naruto clips, and I've since started watching Critical Role, and after coming back to this it is amazing to see how talented Liam O'Brien is. I'm used to hearing a somber Zemnian (German) accent from Caleb, but listening to this I can definitely hear a bit of Vax'ildan in Gaara. Not sure which came first though.
Favorite moment in Shippuden. So inspiring and shows absolutely incredible growth for Gaara. As a child, he believed the only thing that gave him life was killing everyone and bringing destruction to world. Now he wants to protect everyone and the world he lives in. He's also the youngest Kage ever, even counting Naruto, and he's one of the main leaders of the allied army. He has the best character development in Naruto.
Garra spoke from his heart. Because no one knew the pain of being born differently than Naruto. Even though they’ve fought each other… Naruto changed Garra for the better. And this is how Garra payed it forward by uniting different villages to save Naruto & the world.
