Our CEO Sam Vallely personally clarifies the status of the UPW 'Monday Riot demo' in transparent fashion. There's an EXCITING future ahead for Ultra Pro Wrestling, and we cannot wait to share with you our final product. We couldn't do this without YOU, our great supporters. Forever grateful.

Your transparency is always so greatly appreciated. I want a polished demo and a polished release. So take the time needed. This could be the greatest wrestling game ever made. But if it's released (or even the demo) in an unfinished state, the bad taste left in people's mouth, will likely result in them never coming back to the game. Exactly. I'm really rooting from them tbh. They can go all out with this game and bring in stuff No Mercy never gave us like Hell In A Cell, more than 4 wrestlers at the same time or Wooden Tables
As long as you stay transparent on the state of development, I really don't mind how long it takes for the game to be ready. This game has a ton of potential and it deserves the time it takes to get right

Man i tell u the level of professionalism and transparency from Sam has been refreshing. (The Wrestling Code devs could take a few pointers/ Get their ish together.....) 2k could also learn something) Now Sam the fact that u have shown that ur actually working on this game from the models down to the core gameplay is why im still supporting you. That level of keeping the community in the loop gravitates positively with the supporters who are backing you. A bump in the road but i trust in the process. U got this man forsure.

The first release of the game should not be rushed, but rather take your time in it as much as possible, because it will be the foundation on which all future updates and releases are built. If the foundation is bad or rushed, we will see another Fight Forever or 2K, and we do not want that.
Take all the time possible, remove the curse of rushing and feeling pressure from the game, work with love and passion, and we have all the time available to us in life to wait.
Honestly you guys can take another 2-5 years on this and I wouldn't mind. The important thing is that you don't give up. I've been waiting my whole life for a follow up to WWF No Mercy because I adored the THQ wrestling games as a kid, and the fact that a team passionate enough is capturing that magic feels like a dream come true.
Glad you're taking the time to get it right as you only get one chance to make that first big impression.
Look at the fallout from AEW Fight Forever. It had potential but was released way before it should have done and ended up making a fraction of what it could have.
Sam don’t stress it. Take your time and keep pouring your love into this game. You’re a legend in the making.

I really appreciate it that you actually give updates on your game to your community. Also, I am not a game developer, but I understand that coding and fixing animations takes time. I am disappointed, but I want you to take your time on the game. Also, don't be too hard on yourselves and ignore the hate. I believe in you, your team, and everyone who has worked on this game. This game will be great. Take your time to truly make another great wrestling game. The WGC hasn't had a all time wrestling game in 10 years, I believe the hype this game will be amazing. ❤

Definitely no apology needed. I was one of the ones that was mega pissed off about Fight Forever. But it wasn’t the delays, it was the complete lack of communication that got me. The fact that you have made this video and kept us all updated says so much for the company and yourself. Take your time, we’re not going anywhere any time soon 👍
We'll be waiting on. Indeed, we want to play it just as much as the next guy, but we know it needs to be ready in order to do so. At worse, you can always do some demo reels, alongside some DLC announcements, while we wait but at least we know you guys are as hyped as we do for its comeuppance and you're honest about what's going on. Like Sam says, don't rush it. I was never concerned about the demo to begin with so the news doesn't affect me. To me this really does have the potential to be a Fire Pro caliber game. Fight Forever rushed it and it's pretty much dead. Fire Pro fans waited a decade between installments between Returns and World and we've already been waiting over two decades for AKI to truly return so waiting a little longer is super easy, barely an inconvenience.
Take your time buddy. Keep the good work and thanks for making this video game for us.
I don't think there is bad news when you are trying to create a better product. Success will always have a few bumps along the way, and when it arrives, it'll be all the sweeter for you & your team.

Unlike other wrestling game projects I believe in this one 💯 %! Do not rush this! Take all the time you guys as UPW need to make this the greatest pro wrestling game of all time. Good things come to those who wait and you all do whatever you need to do get this game to where it needs to be. Passion projects are time consuming and your fanbase is here and we will support you no matter how long it takes. Ultra Pro Wrestling is worth it!

Games that are Gems takes time to make man. Remember No Mercy wasnt even finished completely because N64 was approaching the end of its life cycle in 2000. No Mercy wasn't even completely finished yet it still became one of if not thee best Wrestling Game ever made.

I've been waiting for a really long time...if that's what it takes for me to get a game with the same love and passion as SVR 2006 devs had again, then I'll keep holding on, and I'll keep waiting.

I remember the excitement i had for WWE 2K20 and the excitement i had for AEW: FF... 2 games that are now infamously known as rushed projects. 2K20 had some wild glitches making the game almost unplayable. While AEW was only fun for about an hour or 2 considering that it wasn't built with alot of modes or creation suite features to make the game last. With that being said, i am absolutely fine with this game being pushed back. I would rather take a joyful functioning game over a rushed rugged game any day of the week. Considering all the features you all plan to pursue with this game, i think it's always good news to push it back for more stability. Im loving the direction and energy put into this masterpiece of a project so, being extra careful with making the game feel more complete is all worth it in my opinion. Can't wait to have a flashback of this moment when this game releases and pleases the hearts of wrestling game fans of all ages in the future. "Best wrestling game ever" is a title that deserves time for perfection, as those are HUGE shoes to fill. Please continue to take your time 🙏🏿🙏🏿

What an awesome guy. Glad you're making this game. I waited for AEW with anticipation for so something reasonable, but it was a soulless game. I played WCW Revenge and WWF no Mercy to death when I was a kid, I understand that game not only had great playability and loads of content but even the story mode was good. So hopefully you might have something for that in the works. Ultimately I appreciate this is a very big undertaking, and you've been more than kind to update everyone. I hope I get to play this not too long after release. Unfortunately AEW fight forever made me jist sell my Switch. I was done... After over 20 years of shite wrestling games I was done lol. But I think you're going to pull this one off. All the best to you and your team.

yes! even the demo will be available to everyone. The people who have helped with fundraising will be given codes so they dont have to pay for the things they funded such as early access. But the game will be available to everyone.

The fact that you are aiming to produce the best wrestling game ever is incredible. I'm more than willing to wait because there is so much obvious work and passion going into this which is a nice change from 2k's hideous cash grab nonsense.

Being a wrestling gamer since 1985 I always want the characters from those games to carry on to the next. It sounds like this is going to be my favorite playground. I love some of the sneek peeks we have gotten so far. I cannot wait to have the video game wrestlers living and breathing in the world your creating.

Honestly, when i first heard everything that you wanted to include, I thought for sure that it was too ambitious. Especially for a small team. So I certainly expected delays. The updates, legend deals, and constant communication are what have proven to me that this is the real deal. So like everyone is saying, take your time, figure things out, and like you said, this WILL be the greatest wrestling game of all time when completed. Knowing that, everyone will have the patience of a saint knowing what the end result will be. And thank you so much for all the hard work and thought being put into all the details of this game. The effort you are all pitting into this will pay off when we all see the finished product and you guys rake in the fruits of you labor!
