One thing I wish Leaf would do is have better photo selection. That Ricky Henderson looks great because you have the A's colors there so even without the logos you can tell the team. There are to many photos in their products that are just bleh. If they could pick photos that have the team colors even without the logos that would go a long way towards making the cards a bit better imo.
I looked at the lumber club card while zoomed in. Something doesn't seem right. I have been a cabinet maker all my life. They are all the same basic color and species. It's the color that bothers me. Different bats at different ages would not have the same color. Unless they came from the same tree most new bats would not have the same color.
I may be wrong but it makes me curious.
The wood looks pretty different on the Dodgers 6-way. Similarities of course, but different grain patterns,
@@RunGoodLife not talking grain pattern, I looked close at that first. I'm talking about the lighter tighter grain areas. In your lighting, which can make a difference, the light grain looks too much the same color for 6 different bats. At least one would be noticably darker or lighter depending on age. Not trying to rain on the parade. 50 years of working in most woods, my Robbie the robot warning went off.
the jerseys on leaf give it a unique style imo

That Leaf box was solid. Both Henderson and Dodger cards were siiiick.
I have the sickest luck in Leaf Lumber. I hit a Babe Ruth 1/1 in 2021, Ruth/9 in 2022, and just pulled a 1/1 bat knob from Tim Raines from 2024 Leaf Lumber. Only have bought 5 total boxes since 2021
Paying for these boxes and finding out what was inside is similar to lightning a firecracker up your bum.🤦♂️

I prefer leaf. Some of the good tier 1 boxes dont even make up for the cost. Leaf singles sell for less, but you get know names.

Got a couple boxes of each ..the Topps basically had cards of players I never heard of and had to look up …

I hit an Acuna and darryl strawberry auto in my leaf lumber and feel leaf blows teir 1 out of the water
Leaf is cool and all but if you can’t put atleast a picture of the guy on the card then it’s super lame.

Topps new that box was shit so they threw in an extra auto. I think i wud go with the Leaf product. They have definitely stepped up there products. Thanks for the video!

Tier One is hot garbage. Some big hits sure, but soooo many boxes with $20 worth of cards.
I agree. I mean, I wouldn't be mad at pulling a Blyleven auto... If I'm opening Topps Archives or something. But in a product that costs like $70 per card, that's crappy.

Tier One wins every time, lumber has a couple of nice things but doesn’t come close to Tier One. Although the Rickey Henderson is nice
If I bought a box Tier One I’m not a fan of products not fully licensed Panini not having the team logo’s pictured in there cards is awful

I find it so strange that specific companies own team likeness, the blank jerseys just don’t do it for me and look so silly.
Agree, The floor and average ROI is a lot lower on these mid to higher end Topps Products. The Leaf Lumber average ROI and floor is higher, but big hits less likely. Tier 1 should be a $150 product.
I like the licensed stuff a lot more. But bang for your buck, the Leaf stuff is still better
