from this video, Lang-lang must be a genius and great teacher who have abundant sense oh humor, interesting personality and great quality of his knowledge and piano skill
The talk about Beethoven's crescendo's is so important. Think I've seen it somewhere explained. Maybe in a video where Barenboim explains it to LL or it may be some completely different video entirely.
Anyone who doesn't reconize Waldstein doeSn't even belong here unless they r under 12. BY age of serious musicians should know the really famous (maybe 10 or 12of the 31) just by looking at the page -and u should know the violin and cello sonatas or at least have heard them a number of times. This outtake should silence forever all the imbeciles who make criticisms on youtube without really having any idea of the aims of composer and certainly not the executant. Shows Lang understands physical posture needs and so much else. He is probably a genius , knows, intuits and will D I S C O V E R more than the rest of us will in our lifetimes.
First of all, there are 32 Beethoven sonatas. Second of all, let's celebrate UA-cam that it is possible for people who may have had limited exposure to this level of sublimity can now experience it.
He is an excellent teacher. He knows the pieces very well because of his incredible perception and talent. He is good playing and explaining to the students what took him hard work and effort to master. What is important is music not if he looks different and strange sometimes.
Maintain that playing posture for 5 years and have a spine deformation for the rest of your lifetime. Focus and benefits is good and all, but your health safety comes first.
She has a really intense and competitive playing style. It is as if she has lost touch with her softer, "sweeter" emotions. No wonder they say you can understand a pianist from the way he plays. The best pianists like lang lang have a great understanding of the depth of human emotion which requires maturity and empathy. A pianist who devotes all his time solely to mastering the piano and winning competitions cannot produce music which touches the human heart.
I like how he just instinctively knows were the page turn is at 6:47 and takes care of it in the middle of all this. Its the best when a teacher is roasting you while simultaneously showing you that theyve been there and understand
He's a brilliant pianist, he receives a lot of flack but if you watch his masterclasses he's undeniably very good at understanding, analysing and transcending someone else's playing, my view on him has really changed over the years, the classical world needs people like him to inspire youngsters
What a difference in her playing after he coached her. She needs to feel the music and not only play the right notes. Her posture adds heaviness to her sound. But she has great potential.
I'd like to be teached by Him.He teaches like plays. VERY GOOD. TEACHER .Excelent piano player. He has so much patience to make student learn what he wants the same learns.
Lang Lang with his exaggerated facial expressions, Rubinstein didn't bat an eyelid because it was all heard in his music. long long knows that he doesn't have it. like a robot, 100% technique, the rest is show. Far overrated pianist today.
@floroberg its a masterclass. thats exactly what we want. a coaching session on our performance. its not the same as a piano lesson. his instruction is for the whole class. i would love an hour with this guy by myself.
Okay Mr. Lang Lang. We get that you're good at piano. Sure the students are adapting to your new sense of style, but that fact that you play a few hundred measures then let the student to play and figure for him/herself is a little unbearable I find. And I am well aware that you too must have at some point felt the same level of difficulty yourself when you were young is understandable. I personally would have found this somewhat horrifying the way he pops in and out behind you.
He is just brilliant.
great teacher! , great men, perfect musician ..GIANT thanks
Watching this I came to understand better his way of playing, and above all, his facial expressions.
什么人才!!一位杰出的感知教授, 对作品的转录!!

Excellent teacher...I can see what he trying to do with her playing.
funny to see he's actually like that in real life too, not just while playing
:D
His joy is overflowing :D
Wundervoll großartig die exzellente Körpersprache mit viel Gefühl, absolut verständlich und humorvoll noch dazu, was mir beim Lernen hilft
He is an interesting teacher who makes you feel the music, put all the emotions in music.

And a piano 😀
The girl 👧 actually plays the 🎹 pretty good!
The talk about Beethoven's crescendo's is so important. Think I've seen it somewhere explained. Maybe in a video where Barenboim explains it to LL or it may be some completely different video entirely.

Genius performer and genius teacher!!!

lang lang's tone changes instantly at 4:49 when he says dolce.. impressive
3:15 "Mozart has different personalities, different characters"Lang Lang is a bit clown, but he understands music, no doubt.

8:47 I dropped to the ground and lost it there LOL
What a difference in her playing after he coached her. She needs to feel the music and not only play the right notes. Her posture adds heaviness to her sound. But she has great potential.
Love how he moves around (like my piano teacher lolololol) and make you feel the movement and the emotions in the piece. xD
the exposition by Lang Lang is very fantastic..., and the piece is very dificult for her and too for me jejeje

雖說女演奏者老是埋頭苦幹,無法觀察到週遭氛圍製造激動群眾情緒,但郎朗的演奏風格是誇張的,也不符貝多芬強硬派個性所展現的壯麗特色。

i would love an hour with this guy by myself.
do u like candy? lol at 5:04
The part in 7:54 is actually very hard to be trained if you try yourself.
6:03 STOP! lol
wow he is a motivational teacher
Sublime Lang Lang. Me encanta. Gran concertista y gran profesor. Excelente.
His teaching is quite enjoyable!
I will become a teacher for my kids. They’re gonna be doctor engineer lawyer pianists and violinists.
Musical intelligence !He is magic. His spirit! He has it all. My ears are my biggest problem if only I had been taught to listen and communicate !
I don't think she can ever play like Lang Lang. She simply doesn't have his striking.
Tu es si expressif! Comment ne pas aimer apprendre avec toi❤
教的真哈真好
Wow...coming from the previous video, and now her left hand sounds so much better
that's the different between musician and music player. sound the same but one with feeling and expression.
I love his style!
6:39 lol
He practiced so much his finger just moves by itself.
waw! Je me révise, il est un génial prof, à un haut niveau!
Grandioso!!! 🎹🎼🎶🎵
And the Dolce part is so crucial. A sweet and serene sound. Gawd LL is good.

She's playing small dynamic changes that aren't written in the score.

Her performance is cringeworthy

That's why you can never play like LL. The master class is for all the audience, not for the student only.
