I completely fell head over heels in love with Sydnie the first time I saw this performance. She's pretty, she's got this brilliant personality, and her singing is hard to describe. I'm 62 years old. I've played in bands, orchestra's, and sung in choir. I've heard many, many singers over the years. Incomplete and absolute honesty, I can say that Sydnie is one of the very best I've ever heard. When she gets a starring role in some West End production, I am going to fly to the UK, for the first time in my life, just to see her. ❤❤❤

She said in an interview that she was really nervous because she had realized that this was the first time she ever auditioned as herself rather than a character for a part. I think her audition as herself is probably one of the best auditions ever.

I love singing auditions on talent shows, and at 81, I've seen many. From start to finish, this is my all time favorite audition on any talent show Ever. And just when I thought it couldn't get better than this, I saw what she did in the semi-finals, and what she did with the classic song "My Way" is beyond description. Get ready to be blown away. Love you guys. FYI The person singing "Over the Rainbow" is Loren Allred. Also, I'm assuming you know that she won. She is now the only female singer to ever win BGT, and there have been many good ones. Again, I always love your reactions, and you are going to be blown away by what comes next. 💕💕

This hauntingly beautiful performance is almost certainly infused with all the heartache of a long-held personal dream repeatedly thwarted by setback and disappointment. After many years of repeatedly trying, and failing, Sydnie was finally on the brink of abandoning her dream of singing in London’s West End (equivalent to New York’s Broadway), but somehow she found the courage and the resolve to try one last time. She attended her BGT audition that propitious day, and the rest, as the hackneyed saying goes, is history. 🥲Thank you so much for your fantastic reactions!👍

The "Over the Rainbow" playing is Loren Allred from the 2024 AGT Fantasy series. But yes, Sydnie does sing the same version later (with permission from her idol Loren). :)
…but well done for recognising the Iz version of the song, which is what the Allred arrangement is based on.

Nice reaction and comments. The reason it sounds a little gospel is this was sung by Marisha Wallace 4 years ago as a fundraiser during the pandemic, and all the theaters were closed. However, Sydnie takes it to another level here. She’s now 1 of my favorite singers.

Sydneys "Tomorrow" and her "My Way" covers are my two favourite versions of these songs,and her "Somewhere over the rainbow" is second only to Eva Cassidys live performance of said song, and that is truly a compliment to Sydney ❤❤❤❤❤

I absolutely love your reactions, both of you add to one another, and make listening to you that much more pleasurable. Now that you have witnessed Sydnie's incredible talent, get ready for the ride. Her songs seem almost autobiographical. She has went to college for acting, she has sang on a couple of cruise ships, and been in a play in Germany. But she is presently working as a receptionist at a gym, just hoping after hope that she will score in an audition. She said at 28 the clock is now against her, and that is why she made the decision to try out for BGT. She was shocked at getting the Golden Buzzer and even more shocked she made it the finals. A little clarification.... The version you're hearing of Over the Rainbow is the voice of Loren Allred, Sydnie's idol. Sydnie didn''t want to sing OTR at the BGT series finals because she didn't think she could do it. But apparently the producers pushed it on her and good thing, too! It was an astonishing capper to her three appearances leading up to her being voted BGT 2024 winner....
I get nervous when the producers interfere with artists that much. It has burned other contestants in the past. It worked this time.
Sydnie is magic. She is a generational singer. I truly hope she finds someone trustworthy to guide and protect her from the scum in the music industry.
