@@bjartsmellslikeanoob387 I showed this guide to my friends I am raiding with and they all agreed that this video really explained concepts simply and well when other highly viewed guide may have grossed over. Thanks for the guides and keep up the good work!
Thanks Kami, I think I finally understand it now! The box with the steps on the side makes it much easier to follow the skipping cycle (definitely keep that for future guides). Also really easily explained the bit about damaging the thumb on melee skipping!
These guides are awesome, very descriptive, I now know what it means to skip hahahaha like I was doing it in the learner raid with my friend but I didn't know what I was actually doing or why, I was just doing it. Every other video doesn't tell you this type of Information, you get a like and a sub! Hahahaha keep up the good work
Hey I love your raid guides I think they’re super simple yet very descriptive. I appreciate the attention to detail!! It’s helped me so much. I’d love to see a guide for some of the rooms like safe-spotting Mystics, Shamans (if applicable), or vespula/vasa/vanguard tips. I can’t imagine how hard it is to get the right footage and then clip it together and voice over so I wouldn’t expect you to do all the rooms but maybe the top 3 most common ones!
07 Kami Of course! I had a question on how to set it mage in the beginning. If everyone specs once and runs to their positions, it is typically set melee. How can we start with mage instead?
For mage skipping, can someone tell me why the mage steps on the middle tile and tanks a hit and THEN moves to melee side? Can't the mage just step on the melee side without stepping on that middle tile and then moving over? 0:33
Million years late, but I think it's generally to make the head turn easier. I'm not 100% sure, but you could tank a hit on the mage side and then run 2 tiles to melee side. But that uses more run energy, since stepping 2 times is walking and it's also sort of easier to time.
Hi! You can tell this by counting the auto-attacks that happen before the hand cripples. Normally, the hand cripples after everyone specs it in the beginning. If Olm has done 2 auto-attacks, and then the hand cripples, see where the head turns. If it turns e.g away from melee / toward mage, it means that if not for the cripple, a special will be happening as it turns, which also means that it is melee set. It'll take some time to recognize it immediately and you have to be familiar with the cycle to be counting the auto-attacks at the back of your head without effort. That way, you'll know when it'll uncripple as well and to prepare for it. Sorry for the late reply!
This was clearer than most skipping videos Ive seen, thank you
great guide! Helped me a lot to understand what was going on at Olm when I didn't get it even after watching many other guides
thank you!

This video > all other guides. Voice could be louder but in honesty I think it made me pay more attention.
Ive gone through multiple videos and none are as simple as this one. Great vid and now i understand what to do

Genuinely fantastic guide, thank you Kami
simple and easy, the best type of guides thanks. I'm about 100kc and couldn't figure out how to set for skips this helped.
thank you!
the explanation was really good on this, loved the field of vision box, gives the way it works a little context! thank you very much.
glad it helped!
One of the better guides out there

I’m 135 KC and I officially learned melee/mage skipping with your help and lots of practice :)
@@rifferr I'm very glad to hear that! Will take your comments into consideration. Thank you!

@@rifferr At 6:09, there is a clip of how you can insta-set mage. If you don't manage to pull it off, the runner then has to set it.
07 Kami Yes that’s what I mean how to set it mage as a runner! Just tank an extra hit before going to other side to switch the set correct?
Excellent guide. Thanks!
Your the best osrs teacher plz teach more raids/tob
Just started raiding, great guide thanks!! Will have to try it out soon!
Thanks for your help! :)
great guide helped me a lot :)
Best guide ever!!!
Can you explain what melee set and mage set means? How can you make sure if it's melee set or mage set?
I have another video on my channel, [OSRS #2] where I explain mage and melee set
For mage skipping, can someone tell me why the mage steps on the middle tile and tanks a hit and THEN moves to melee side? Can't the mage just step on the melee side without stepping on that middle tile and then moving over? 0:33
No that would be classed as just running the head. Tank one hit to stop specials.
