- Today I made a Super Mario Star cake using fondant. The fondant gave me a little trouble, but the cake turned out fine. I really enjoy making nerdy themed goodies and decorating them. I'm not a pro, but I love baking as a hobby :D Please let me know what kind of treat you would like me to make next! I'd like some ideas (^_^)

This video is so authentic, no camera crew, no fancy setup, just Ro doing what she loves. I miss this, but I'm so proud of how far she's come since these days too.
She is still authentic, she has just used her success in a good way. And she hasn't really changed at all either! Other youtubers I've watched as they get more success they feel like they need to change. (She has been doing less baking but she still goes back to that)

Throwback! So when my daughter was almost 3 (she's 9) she accidentally came across this video. And ever since she's been following you. No joke for her 4th bday she was the one giving me tips that she learned from you...fast forward to now..for her 9th birthday we gave her a Baking kit with real tools and your baking book! She was so excited to get your book because she got Interested in baking watching your videos. She now is Baking for family and friends and had her first paid gig at just 9 years old! So thank you for making your videos so real, easy to follow, and funny!

I just watched Ro's latest video (July 2017) and now looking back, she has changed sooooo much, she is so much more professional now, and I'm proud to say that I have been here since the beginning!!! She deserves everything she has now, she has grown so much as a creator and as a person, she works so hard! ilysm ro!!!!💙

I remember watching this when this first came out and I didnt think of how successful she would be. I just thought how awesome the caked looked. Watching this back makes me respect her even more because it shows how far she has come along.

Even though I wasn't here from the beginning, I joined nerdy nummies during 2019 thanks to escape the night, there's just something super nostalgic and wholesome about this video not just from it's authenticity and really bringing out the vibe of what old UA-cam videos felt like where creators were just doing what they love and having fun, but that timeout scene she had with just playing Mario whilst waiting for the frosting to cool was honestly just one of the nicest breath of fresh air to see, it was so adorable that it kind of makes you tear up of missing these older simpler days, also you can see Mike on the side, he really is there since the beginning of this
