New user here.I have tried your suggested settings for Noisy Restaurant to no avail (or not much that I notice). Are there any other severe settings you can suggest? btw, I am using a Livio 2400 BTE Ric. I have a BICROS set up because of my SSHL in one ear. Does this reduce the effects of these settings? Thank you for any help!
Welcome New User! I would also try checking your different processors (wind, machine, speech) to make sure they are set to reduce the greatest amount of noise. Check out my videos on how to navigate the processor menus in the Thrive App. You should also try switching your microphones to directional, where only the front mics are turned on. The back and side microphones should be turned off. Your back should be facing noise and you should be directly in front of whatever you would like to hear. Also the custom settings that you create in Thrive use your current memories as a base. You may want to check in with your hearing provider to see if they can make additional adjustments to the aids. Perhaps send them a hearing care anywhere request for a remote adjustment if you aren’t able to get in to see them right away. And to answer your question, background noise can be most challenging given your loss. You have one ear doing the work for both ears and that one ear has a hearing loss as well. Continue to check in with your provider to insure that you have an accurate prescription programmed in your devices.
Maybe the programming works better for an iPhone. As a tech savvy Adroid user, this app is marginal at best. The custom settings don't allow editing of the name. I have custom 1,2,3,4 but cannot make them so they are truly custom for me - I have to remember which is for what. In addition, the memory/custom setting does not stay fixed when I select it - it flips to stream boost ever 10-15 mins, I have to constantly reset the "custom 4" manually. Very frustrating for an Android user.
Would like to know how to make a custom “Equalizer” setting the default so my dad doesn’t have to fiddle with the Thrive App every day.
thank you for this video....it was a great help for me!!
riceman193 you’re very welcome!
