- The Steam Deck is a dedicated gaming device designed specifically for Steam. Other portable gaming PCs (UMPCs) run on Windows OS, but while they may seem similar in capabilities, the user experience is completely different.
Windows PCs can be cumbersome to use on small screens and are distinct from the convenience of iOS or Android devices. While Windows can do almost anything, that’s not my goal.
I just want to play games.
The Steam Deck, running on Steam OS, is a unique handheld console optimized solely for Steam games. With Steam being the world’s largest gaming platform, the ability to run thousands of PC games smoothly is incredible.

Last year I used the SanDisk Extreme, but I found the SanDisk Ultra offers better value for similar performance. I recommend the 256GB or 512GB options; 1TB isn't cost-effective. I'm a fan of the 512GB.

I recommend steam deck oled. Good battery life and very quiet.
I totally agree about the battery life. Not having to constantly hunt for a charger is such a relief. Being able to play for hours is such a game-changer - it makes those gaming sessions even longer, right? 😄
旧型の時は一番安い64GB買って性能に不満はなかったけどストレージ不足と反射しまくるパネルに少し後悔があったので折角だからOLED版1TBに買い換えました
画面が綺麗なのもそうですが、スティックの操作性や満充電時にランプが緑色になるのが地味に助かる
ただ何度もスリープ中断・再開を繰り返してるとたまに音にノイズが入るようになるのは旧型から変わってなくて残念（ゲーム立ち上げ直すと治りますが）
地味に進化してるところ多くて、久しぶりに旧型触ると違和感。
さすがに、スリープ繰り返したら、だんだんもっさりしてくるので、やっぱり定期的な再起動も必要ですね！
ゲーミングPC持っていますがつい先日steam deck注文しました。FPSだったりその他対戦ゲーだったりは流石にPCですが、やっぱりだらし無い姿勢でやりたいゲームもあるんですよね（；＾ω＾）PCでMMOやりながらポータブルでものんびり箱庭ゲー開けるのも楽しみです
だらしない姿勢w
たしかに、座るって意外と労力使うから、ゴロゴロ何も考えずゲーム起動してたりもする。起きて目が覚めないままゲーム起動とか、無意識でゲームできるって恐ろしい。1日一瞬で終わるんで危ない。
MMOやりながら箱庭ってのは、なかなかやっべぇ発想っすね。お体だけは、マジ気をつけてください( ﾟ∀ﾟ)
SteamでSwitchに出なさそうなゲーム（グロ系）やりたいが為にPC買うのもなぁ（仕事用にノートPCは持ってるけどスペックは最低限）って躊躇ってたけどスチームデックという存在を知り購入検討中です
Steam自体に触れたことがなく「メールアドレスが認証されない」などの情報だけ聞いて恐々としております…
何か注意点ありますでしょうか…
Steamは、圧倒的なシェアも誇るゲームプラットフォームなので、下手な国産サービスよりも安心かと。日本語にもローカライズもされており分かりやすいし使いやすいので、とりあえずお手持ちのPCで登録だけしても良いかもです。
Steam Deckでも、多くのゲームはプレイ可能ですが、結局ハイスペでやりたくなって、ゲーミングPCも欲しくなる。ゲーム廃人になって、リアルがおざなりになる・・・
あとは、小さい画面でやりすぎて体を壊す・・・とか？
ちょうど今、サマーセール期間中なので、Steamでゲーム買いすぎて仕事が手につかなくなってる・・・
ちょっと、求めてる注意点とは違う気がしますけど、そんな感じです。参考までに。

狙いがSwitchとPSに配信されてないスローライフ系のインディーズゲームなのでスペックよりも起動のし易さに重点を置くとスチームデックかなぁ…
明日一度取り扱い店に行ってみます！

Steam Deckで楽しめる名作インディーズゲームは、やり尽くせないほどあるし、Steamで買っておけば今後も楽しめますからね。
問題はSteam Deckが品薄なので・・・店舗に有ると良いですねん！

店員さんが「ほぼ同じ値段で512GBならこちらも良いですよ」ということで値段がスチームデックの1TBと同じで画質は上なほぼ同じ値段のポータブルゲーミングPC購入しました

rog allyなどUMPCもゲーム起動したままスリープできますよ。スリープ安定しないですけど休止状態なら問題ないですし。
