@@HiddenNerdySide successfully introduced my PCs to Aamon the strange imp who apparently has a raspy Brooklyn accent... bout to enchant them some cursed armor tho
Love the idea! I've done a succubus encounter already, but I am planning on circling back to some of the more popular monsters I did early on in my channel's history and upping their quality, so I'll keep this one in mind!
Well that was a worthy one. It should focus more on brainpower than violence and have a central gray moral dilema.
I have a challenge for you. The monster in focus is a Pit Fiend. The challenge? The Pit Fiend allies themself with the party, endearing itself to them, before betraying them. I want to see how you would get party members to like the Put Fiend, and I cannot wait to see the twist you put on it.
Thanks for responding! I guess what I was aiming for is the pit Fiend helps the party defeat a big threat, then backstabs them. Less of a dungeon timer and more of a boss battle after a boss battle?
I don't comment often on anything but I got to say I love your channel and it deserves an algorithm Boost. I also give my request as theres no video with oozes yet an encounter with an Oblex that incorporates other oozes, possibly a reveal that an npc ally (or several) has been an Oblex all along (or that the one the party knew was the Oblex and that things could be resolved peacefully.
Thanks for your sacrifice to the algorithm! Oblex and Oozes have definitely been recommended quite a few times - so there will definitely be a future video on them!
Here is one. A slaad encounter that requires the party to out smart some sort of slaad preist in a battle of wits. Or an encounter with a peacefull solution to an inner termoil between a slaad tribe and a hag
Okay, I'm a fan and have watched all (ish) of your videos and commented on many (may the youtube algorith gods be with you). I have a suggestion for an encounter video but it doesn't consist of a single monster encounter but rather a villain (hello almost empty pre-made villain section). I am a fan of Cthulhu and understand 1) he can be a patron as a warlock and 2) there is a whole ttrpg dedicated to his mythos, but would love to see a video that involves him potentially being the BBEG. You could even set it up so the warlock's patron could actually be Cthulhu posing as a different god (whom the warlock thinks he's worshipping) or even the warlock's patron and nobody knows who the BBEG is until the end and then have to decide in the final battle whether to turn on his friends or his patron, maybe even potentially knowing that he would lose his warlock abilities if he doesn't fight against his friends? I personally love making players have to think whether or not what they did or who they killed was ACTUALLY just or if maybe THEY are the bad guys.... haha. I'll find the video where you explain how we should give you ideas and comment again next video
Love these encounters. Maybe an encounter with the Lord (noble) of a city who is secretly working for the BBEG and uses politics as a weapon. He could be really annoying but hard to kill without losing favor with the king (his brother). Idk just an Idea. Keep up the great encounters :)
This encounter is so cool, I am totally stealing this idea ! Thank you for all the good ideas you're giving, it helps me create some cool encounters as well for my group as a first time DMing a D&D Campaign
Honestly man you're work is so inspiring. Your content has made my campaign planning so much better than what I was planning on doing. You've even inspired me to create this very channel. Well done man, can't wait to see what else you come up with.
Thanks and welcome to the party! Feel free to pop into our Discord as well and meet all the peeps in this pretty great community (link in description) 😊
Hi, I have a challenge for you. Create an encounter based around golems where it's that intense that it almost ends up in a TPK. Unless they find an item from a very complicated puzzle that could allow the party to ever escape, deactivate the golem, or somehow take control of it!
Hey there. I just saw your video around 3 days ago and have already watched most of them. Great stuff! I'd like to ask if you could please make a video about a oath breaker encounter. They just seem to be naturally good at being (mini?) bosses for low levels with hells rebuke, the ability to summon undead and also heal themselves. So id really like to see an encounter with these guys.
Ok, I know I already commented a suggestion, but if you could do an encounter with Demogorgon, that would be epic! Especially if you managed to make it balanced for a 15th level party, but I am not picky. Demogorgon is my favorite demon prince, and I cannot wait to see how you handle him
Demogorgon is on the list, my friend! I have a few encounters in the chamber, but I have been looking to do more high-level encounters so I'll sprinkle in a couple within the coming months!
Challenge: Encounter with a Wereboar & Wererhino (reskin of Wereboar). A fun fetch quest for the party whilst these two beefy monsters charge through, destroying buildings and wrecking the terrain. Highlight them as being a serious threat for the party whilst still being bumbling fools. Think you could make a fun encounter for these?
My way less interesting request than Jack's but... An Adult/ancient white dragon encounter in the ruined entrance to an Erebor like dwarven stronghold but super snowy and icy with 3/4 sessions of interesting build up and travel then a big boss fight against the dragon who has plans and contingencies for such attacks For party's level 8-12
Don't be so hard on yourself - it's an interesting one. Basically a snowy stronghold with a dragon who had built up defences? Not bad at all. I'll put it on the list!
You know, I'm curious if you can try to make this monster seem strong. I tried it in a campaign of mine a few sessions back and they just seemed too weak to me. Try building an encounter with Shadow Demons. They just seem too pitiful for me D: Especially since at the time the party was like level 8. I had like 6 shadow Demons and 4 of those new doll-like monsters and thought it would have been a fun encounter but the party just rolled 'em.
Yeah once players start getting around 8th level, they are capable of some pretty ridiculous stuff. I'll put them on the list! But next time you try using Shadow Demons, think about some ways you can make sure they have advantage on their attacks. The additional psychic damage is what really makes their hits hurt, and unless you're surrounded by darkness and they're rolling well on their hiding checks - they won't pose too much of a threat.
@@HiddenNerdySide yeah, I had used them in CoS where everywhere is dark actually hehe. But still, you're right. The party is very capable of ridiculous powerful things. It was just a random encounter but shadow Demons just seem and look cool. Its just a shame how weak they actually were when I used them.
Mimics are usually quite small and dumb but what if thousands of mimics formed some kind of hivemind to create a living dungeon? Possibly a mimic that ended up on a dead god in the astral plane and started multiplying/ gaining power the more it/they ate. (It would probably need some major weaknesses to avoid being OP).

Your channel is so incredibly useful. Goes over the exact points you need and advice on how to switch it up. You get it my dude.

Therefore

CHALLENGE COMPLETED
im giving it a 9/10 for creativity and playability
How i would and maybe will modify it
The house is on another plane of existance it has different physics laws that the imp can use to his advantage
