I must say, this style of video is really great. No commentary but in exchange you get live view of the players to see their emotions. And the eval bar on the side of the board helping to tell the story, of course sometimes it might point out inhumane wins, but when you see the players following moves corresponding with the bar, you know they found something.
Arjun was lucky af 😅.
The endgame was easily won by Lagno if she had played b7 Kxb7. and 68. Kd5, Kc8 69. c6, Re1 70.Kd6 and after Rd1+ the white king comes to f7 and the pawn promotes. 1-0
However there was an earlier and more beautiful win for white @5:50. Lagno played 28.Nd7+, but 28.Rb8 would have won. 28...Rxb8 29. Nd7+, Kg7 30. Nxb8, Re6 31.Bxa7 and the a-pawn will promote.
Grischuk was saying once the rook was on e6 she should have went b7 kxb7 Kd5 attacking the rook if rook takes the bishop on f6 then you promote and if the rook goes anywhere else on e file then you play Be5 and promotion cannot be stopped
But what if after 68. Kd5, black plays ..Kc7 instead of Kc8?
This is quite an insane line. You really can’t stop a7 from falling without considerable risk.
Arjun always on the ropes. But if there's one thing he has taught me, its COUNTERPLAY. You won't believe how much people mess up.
Not at top soon he will realise
Especially in a blitz game
I think now Arjun must have shut many mouths? He has improved but always has that dynamic style.
Kateryna was so happy with a draw while her position is completely winning 🎉😅
It's very easy as spectators, even me I saw b7! winning, but Im sure arjun and grischuk saw that, Lagno is nervous with seconds on the clock, but well played from the lady
He felt bad when his wife missed the win.
A draw against Arjun is like a victory too.
@@gerard7210 not at that level, in that position
she accepted a draw in a winning position.
Otherwise she most likely would have lost on time.
@@SD-in2mvincrements
Very well played by Kateryna none the less!!!
The way Arjun arranged the pieces after game shows his Discipline towards game....
Not really. It's standard practice..
@@CrookedNose2131 yet she didn't do it...
That's what I call his discipline ...
@@prateekkunte it's more of her indiscipline rather than his discipline.
@@prateekkunte That makes no sense and you know it.
Comeon these are called nitpicks. Rather than pointing anything substantial all you pointed out is how chess peices are arranged. That is very helpful for chess community to know. Nobody would have known about it as it's such a great thing
Arjun is always humble gesture
I would say psycho but ok
@@alfredomunoz2972 why noob? He is a very humble and grounded player. Psycho is the one who says that about him.
10:45 Honey, stop embarrassing me in front of others.
with all due respect to Alexander Grischuk, She is a very beautiful woman. 🥂
She could sacrifice the knight on b4 for two pawns, b4 and a2 then plant something on d5, excellent outpost! 7:26 Aronian with a nice suit lol!
Probably told her she missed the advantage by settling for a draw
What kind of handshake was that? 😂
That's " I don't care but let's do it anyways" handshake 😅
10:25 1.b7 Kxb7 2.Kd5 wins
How? After kd5 there is Kc7 followed by kd7 & ke8
@@Review_MasterBD If you play kc7 then rook can be captured by white king
B7 kb7 kd5 re3kd6 ++- white winning
@@khushjain3216 yup or RxBf6 white queens.
or Rxe7 Bxe7 and wins with 2 passed pawns and Bishop.
or if Re3 Be5 blocking the e file
Sasha basically said, youre so dumb honey, you were winning
The crucial idea in the end starts with Bf6. This has the idea of playing Be5, blocking the rook from controlling the promotion square. And in some cases, where the rook wants to give checks from the first rank, is for white to get his king to c4 and if Rc1+ play Bc3 blocking e1 and thus preventing the rook to contol the promotion square e8. For that reason, everytime when Bf6 was played, Arjun played Re6. (not when her King was still on c4, the Be5 block wasn't defended there) But Re6 still doesn't help due to b7! Kxb7 and Kd5 where the rook is under attack. Arjun has either to trade the rook for the pawn or allow promotion. Remember Re1 or something allows the blockade Be5 and the black King is not in time
Great game by Lagno. b7 in the final position was not that hard to find tho
is not
May be that he asked her why did she not arrange the pieces after the game?
No way
It's not compulsory, No Grishuk didn't ask about arranging the pieces. He just explained to her where she had better moves which would've secured a win for her
Extreme luck for Arjun
Es una lastima q Katherine no haya podido materializar esa ventaja q tenía, tan fácil como b7 y Rd5
She was winning if she played pawn b7 .I guess she was okey with draw .Thats why she didnt push
Arjun is the dark horse of young Indian chess GM prodigies.
Shows how good Lagno and Grischuk are (obviously!).
She was so satisfied about forcing a stronger male opponent to draw with repetition that she didn't bother checking her other winning pieces.
Can someone explain what point Grischuk was emphasizing?
She agreeded to a draw in a wining position.
He paid her 500 dollars for that draw
Lip smirk at 11:20 shows she regrets the missed win.
At the beginning of the video it's like Arjun Erigaisi is threatening his opponent.
you know you made it in chess when
grischuk norris evaluates your game
She's is his wife
i wish they will adopt me
Grischuk mansplaining at the end 😂
it was a winning position for white , why she went for draw .. i think that was grishchuk pointing
Arjun silently laughing 😂
b7 Kd5 would have easily won
B7?
level of game 1500 vс 1700
Lol that’s scared play. She’s not risking anything by continuing to play for the win.
@@jar5498 even 1400 elo know this is win, in that position what kind trick that rock can do?
@@ManiacMane777 obviously there's not any trick that's immediately apparent, but Arjun is rated over 2700, and it's blitz so anything can happen. If she'd made even a slight inaccuracy against him he absolutely could've saved the game. I'm not saying it would've been a bad decision to keep playing for the win, but I also don't blame her at all for taking the draw.
Arjun : smile and wave boys
blunderfest
переволновалась... сперва был досадный blunder, а после не смогла дожать.
He probably says b7 Kxb7 Kd5 wins
Totally dominated Arjun
Is it only me who noticed arjun's rating mentioned in the beginning is 2737 was it not 2705 and gukesh has 2737
I think this is in classical
Blitz rating was 2737
Lagno is grischuk's wife
She likes using that bishop. My opinion at 900 elo. Lower rated games knights are better, higher rated games bishops.
B7 then kd5 wins
He was saying to his wife .... Why didnot his wife take the pawn between bishop and rook .... Good observation. .... Even Arjun accepted it ....
I hope her husband too plays chess
It was interesting to see Arjun pushing harder with his Rook❤
Actually she is winning position bt she dont know that😂😂😂
Arjun is going to lose position bt he hid it he acted very well😂😂😂if carlsen were in the position of arjun five steps before he would say resign😅😅😅
Never mess with a girl chess player! 😄
Yes because they'll settle for a draw in a winning position 😂

Threefold repetition draw
Woman GM cant accept the fact they can win against Man GM .it is all mindset .She was there for draw and she got it
She got the exact same GM title they give to men in 2007.
retire Arjun its clear u peaked and are now in steep decline
White ruined a won endgame!
Disrespectful.
How so?
