Your tutorials are amazing. I've been using Daz for quite a while but I am learning so much new stuff that I've never bothered to experiment with before!
Hello! iam learning much with your tutorials. Just need to know if there's no any other way to make video sequence with multiple cameras? In iclone I use switch mode to track all cameras in a single sequence. I saw your tutorial talking about actane. Is there a way out there?
Thanks for your question. There is no way to track all cameras in a single sequence like iclone inside Daz Studio. The animation features inside Daz Studio are not ideal and are clunky.
A correction about the resolutions: The HDRI resolution shown (e.g. 3K that you use) is the horizontal resolution of the full 360° panorama, even the parts you're not looking at with the camera. The portion of the HDRI you can see with the camera is only a small fraction of that 3K resolution, so you need to use a much higher res HDRI than that. As a rule of thumb, if you're rendering at 1080p with a 35mm camera (default in most apps), you need at least a 14K HDRI to avoid any visible pixelation in the background. If you're rendering at a higher resolution than 1080p or using a more zoomed-in camera, you'll need an even higher res HDRI.
You're so welcome! HDRI's are a great way to light your scenes. As you get more comfortable with lighting you will start to use HDRI's and spotlights to light your scenes in even more ways.
This had me confused as well. I don't know if this is a programming error or if it was intentional. The environment settings option will appear in the render settings tab when you do an iray preview. You have to do this with new scenes.
Helpful only to the point of learning about Environment settings. For those with non Nvidia Drivers, it's impossible to use the Nvidia Iray view to see the HDRI maps.
@@ParmyBaddhan Thanks for replying. It does work but due to high memory usage, the ability to have it render on screen as yours did in your tutorial makes it impossible to use. On that note, I will be upgrading my current PC to handle these type of renders.
I've never heard of this issue before. Save the .HDR files in a separate folder and then browse to that folder location via the Daz Studio environment map.
8:12 "It looks a bit different" - yes, and it would "look a bit different", too, if I threw an egg at the monitor. The question is: *how* does it change? What happens to the dome geometry and perspective when I manipulate these parameters? The sheer visual result is hard to relate to.
Thanks for your comment. This was one of my earlier videos where my knowledge of HDRI's was very limited. I'm sorry this video left you with more questions then answers and I will endeavour to do better in future videos.
@@ParmyBaddhan no need to apologize, quite on the contrary, I appreciate your effort a lot. You took a bit of the fallout of me being bitter after fiddling with HDRi way too long the last couple days, so I guess sorry from me for pouring my frustration in here.
Bottom line: the way the dome distorts is not manageable at a reasonable level, so better use 360 billboards and iRadiance skies and create the other surroundings that make your scene credible with props.
@@ParmyBaddhan hat's off for not jumping at me here, too. I often enough manipulate sliders in the dome setup and find they don't do anything or absolutely not what I expected. I had one from the Daz shop were I could not find any means to match the HDRi's "bottom" and the 3D bottom, no matter what. Then I arranged props so they all matched the ground, found I needed to rotate the Dome for better lighting - and all the alignment was off again with the HDRi bottom off at distance and angle. Sorry again, thanks for your good work.

Did you make the comic with HDRI maps?
Your tutorials are amazing. I've been using Daz for quite a while but I am learning so much new stuff that I've never bothered to experiment with before!
Thanks for your kind words. I'm glad my tutorials are helping you get more bang for buck from Daz Studio.
Another fantastic tutorial. Also a big thumbs up for pointing out the two free HDRI map sources.
Everyone likes free stuff.😄
Helpful, looking forward to an afternoon of watching your other tutorials.
Thanks for your kind comments.
Really useful, thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much
You're welcome. May I ask what you are hoping to achieve with Daz Studio so that I can guide you to achieving your goals?

@@ParmyBaddhan Absolutly. I play around with it since yesterday :D Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Excellent series...
Thanks for your kind comment.
Thanks so much, learned something! :-)
You are very welcome. I'm glad you found the tutorial helpful.

Daz can render in 8k now
Thanks for sharing this. Don't know if I will need 8K rendering. Probably for my UK comic con banners.
Did DAZ remove the Environment settings? It doesn't seem to be there now.

They're in the "Create Node" option now.

The iray preview should work on any computer as Daz Studio will use your CPU to create the preview if you don't have a Nvidia Graphics card.

@@tantographics3549 What are your current PC specs and are you using more then one Gen 8 character in your scene, with lots of props?
My Daz does not allow me to choose an .HDR file. Is there something that I must change in order to import or select this file type?
If you find a solution let me know, I have the same problem.

@@ParmyBaddhan It is still 1000 percent better than the official DAZ video. DAZ would be worthless to me without your videos.
WHere do i save the HDRI, just in my MyLibrary ?
You can save the HDRI anywhere on your hard drive. It does not have to be in the MyLibrary folder.
